Shouldn't it be 'boi' ?
As far as I know (and I'm hardly a millennial) it's in reference to 'fan girls' who are basically teen girls who go crazy for boy bands, Bieber etc. So I don't know why it'd be spelt 'boi' but believe me I'm hardly an expert on this complex important issue of our times.

Got me too.

Just noticed the term seems to suddenly tickle people's fancy in here.

Just corrected it to reflect what us realists hear from you Scott fan boys.

When we win
- Re-sign Chris Scott
- Chris Scott is a great coach
- Simon Lloyd's had no impact
- We'll win the flag
- *told you so's/gloating/arrogance*

When we lose

- Flu/gastro went through the team
- It's the players responsibility
- Umpires are screwing us
- Injuries are hurting us
- It's never Chris Scott's fault
The fact that you call me a fan boy is all the undermining of your post I need to point out. I'm sure others will do the rest.

I thought the alternate spelling 'boi' gained traction when used to refer to Apple fanboys. Of course it's applied more widely than that now. The term fanboy to refer to ardent followers of a particular brand, product etc. would have been around for a long time.

Let's be honest, it's a pejorative term used by the lazy when they can't be bothered arguing the substance, or, more likely, have nothing of use to offer the discussion so reverting to it is all they have.
It does have its applications. Some people are so loyal to a brand, product, company etc. that they can't bear to be critical of it regardless of whatever mistakes it makes/has done to it or what the alternatives are.

It's not a term that can be used, or is designed, to promote healthy, respectful discussion.

Popped up on my feed. Scotty's last game which was against our conquering 07 team.

Gives away a few free kicks too :p

My ole man was saying the same thing, last year.:D

Who knows, maybe we were blessed in the 07 to 11 years that when the sum of all parts are not working that is the impression given.
Every chance we are just simply not good enough and I am just seeing something not there to be fair

Clearly you don't assimilate the posts of many who support CS in the general sense. He's not the perfect coach. Just a very good one in most posters view.

One other thing to add for the win/loss lists.
When we win
_ Blighty is almost unsighted on BF
When we lose
-Blighty positively inundates the board with posts
Can you 'realist' explain this phenomenon? ;)
