Blight is better liked and comes out a winner easily, so he has Scott on both counts.
I respect his thoughtfulness towards media, his players, particularly the way he handles the tough decisions about retiring stars.
He thoroughly researches the latest overseas trends off season, as do Clarko, Brad Scott, and probably most coaches.
I like his passion for Geelong- he really has taken on the role full-time, lives in Geelong, and it's all about US when talks Geelong. You don't get the feeling this is a stepping stone to another post elsewhere.
I love his winning %- winning is more enjoyable than not, most times.
I was really happy we employed him ahead of Hinkley and Sando, and nothing has changed there.
I could not think of another coach that right now could lead us better than he does.
This is not some naive appreciation- to me, he really is a very capable coach who recognises his weaknesses, and his team's weaknesses, and can do things about it.
I liked Blighty too, never a dull moment.
Maybe I am easily pleased, as I also respected Ayres.
Having been able to meet our last coaches dating back to Goggin, albeit superficially in some cases, CS is right up there. Probably number 1 in my estimations.
