its not true though... hes sold 800,000 records in australia total. so on average, 1 in every 30 people or so today, less back then.

saw him live once, think i had free tickets to an adelaide guitar festival show. can seriously play, but i find him pretty bland.

ah man, ive done the OT thing again...
Didn't think it could be true but the dude on mmm definitely did say it.
That's exactly how I see him. Can play but really uninteresting and yeah bland.

id say he misread 800,000 as 8,000,000 or 1 in 30 as 1 in 3. either way, i would be taking 99% of anything said on MMM with some skepticism.

but yeah, chris scotts coaching, hey?

Some skepticism is putting it nicely. That goes for the footy side of things too. Pack of total tossers just pumping themselves and each other up and pushing their own agendas.
Yeah Chris Scott. Going allright so far this year. Backing some young players. I believe he's trying to sow the seeds now for more midfield depth by the end of year which is a good thing.

Even though I don't like Diesel I'm surprised to hear he always uses one because he can actually play.
Also they had the top albums of the 90's on MMM today and they said at the time 1 in every 3 Australians had a copy of his album. Thought it was an interesting fact.
Which album, The Lobbyist or Hepfidelity?

He can definitely play. Awesome guitarist.
I don't think he gets a credit for it but he played a solo on the Barnesy-Tina version of Simply The Best that the ARL used in 95 for its promos. Sounds awesome.

Hepfidelity. Came in around 40ish of the top 90's albums. Nevermind got 1st.
Didn't know he did that solo. But yeah know he can definitely play.

theres good and bad music in every era, and its all subjective anyway. like what you like. i can enjoy plenty of daft music. 'love yourself' by bieber is a great tune, coincidentally co-written by ed sheeran. i probably wouldnt buy it, but if it comes on ill turn it up and enjoy it. ive even put it on voluntarily on youtube a few times. people get far too precious about whats 'allowed' and what isnt. if you like a song, you like it. end of story.

on a side note, there isnt a generation in history that hasnt thought theirs had it all right and the 'younger generation' have lost the plot.
Music is objective, but truly great music travels through time like a bright distant light as the crap quickly fades in the face of it's luminous beauty.

*I first read that off a tattoo on Jane Bunn's lower back...

Scott has criticised our performances so far and on 3AW on Sunday when asked if he thought we were better than last year said no because we've been so patchy in games and for long periods within games played very poor footy, so maybe you should ask Scott that question...
Understand that we have been up and down in a couple of games so far and yes that will and should attract criticism. But when someone trys to give a "what if" 15 goal turnaround scenario, I call that type of criticism junk.

I wonder what music Chris Scott likes? I'd bank on The Eagles and that theme song from Friends.
I sense CS has won you over just the slightest this year so far, communication, honesty, agreeing with your assessments, taking on what you've been saying. Go on, admit it, a bit of love there?!

Fwiw, he is a massive Beatles fan.

I feel like the Cats team may be tapping BlightysCats on the shoulder very soon and making this a more formal relationship.

So far his advice has been for free, so maybe a role reporting to Simon Lloyd? It makes sense too, he could easily step into Lloyd's role once Lloyd takes Scott's role...

The next move would be for Scott to take BC's role and the circle would be complete.

No I didn't actually, the very point we had to come back more than once against a bottom 6 side showed me just how mediocre we are. North are a dismal team and will be lucky to win over 7 games this year yet we were 30 odd points down against them a few times.
North will be a bottom 6 team this year at least, all todays victory showed was that we won't make the 8. We beat Freo who will be bottom 2 by 40 odd points when Port absolutely smashed them, then we only beat a crappy team without their premier ruckman by a point? We're a complete joke and will be proven so once we face any half decent team.
One of my great hopes was that I'd be able to go and watch the Bulldogs play in person before I left for Vietnam and it was just so satisfying last night to watch them play a quarter and a half of top draw footy and beat Collingwood. They're so beautiful and exciting to watch and it again confirmed to me how good Geelong could be with Joel Corey as their coach, but alas we sign Scott for 3 years and by the time he's gone so Joel Corey will also be gone coaching someone else instead of Geelong.
good thing you chose the collingwood game!

i would hate if you had to watch them lose to a bottom 2 team, or have to come back against a bottom 6 side, in person before you left for vietnam.
