Now i will probably be shot down for this but we need a centre half forward for at least 3 yrs before delevoping someone else and we could get him for about a 3rd round pick

what do you think

Taz was never a CHF , he was a good lead up half forward that gave good forward 50 entrys .

He's not even that any more .

He has problems getting the ball, and even when he does, his kicking for goal is quite ordinary. Not to mention the attitude problems. I'll pass.

If we got him for nothing (fourth-round pick or lower), then we'd have to look at it. But him and Fev on the same team would be a worry, wouldn't they?

ABSOLUTELY NO FLIIPPIN' WAY!!! For reasons too numerous to expound upon but which are clear to those who can see, read and interpret.

Your telling me guys if we got him for CLOSE TO NOTHING, you wouldn't take him  ?
Exactly... Can he play ruck, chb or chf and can he play either position well and will he play for the next 8 to 10 years. No, No and No.

Will he hamper us getting another young player into our side to possibly play in 1 of those other positions... Yes.

Imagine a forward line of Fisher and Tarrant both leading up the ground to the wings and then missing easy goals and only having an impact 1 in 4 or 5 games at best.

NO THANKS, it would be too frustrating.

Can I say '____ OFF" on this website?

Tarrant is years passed it and a testament to Freo's ridiculously poor recruiting that he is still playing and getting paid shitloads for nil output.

Would not take him if you bundled him in with Jennifer Hawkins for a 5th round pick.

Chris Tarrant
27 years old (5 years of Footy left in him)
Key Postion Forward/Half Forward
193 cm 92 kg
Last year he averaged:
13.9 disposals
6.4 marks
1.6 goals
1.6 tackles

Brad Fisher
24 years old
Key Position Forward/Half Forward
192 cm 86 kg (accuracy of height very questionable)
Last year:
14 disposals
7.2 marks
2 goals
1.4 tackles

There isn't really a great deal of difference statistically between the two, yet Fisher is lauded and Tarrant is bagged. Tarrant has fallen off this year but he's had injuries and personal problems, while Fisher isn't exactly starring himself.

But forget about Fisher, the question we have to ask is whether Tarrant would be a better option as a forward than Setanta or Hartlett or Edwards. Clearly he is, and I think if you asked Fev if he'd want Tarrant standing beside him in the forward line next year I think we all know what his response would be.

Tarrant is a headcase, and I would be disgusted if the club went anywhere near him. He can stay in Perth and rot over there.

If you want Tarrant, you mayswell put Hackland in at CHF - The result will be exactly the same.

I think some are a bit harsh - I'd trade him for a third rounder. Last night was classic example of how desperate we are for options up forward.

Remember, you don't lose your ability just your confidence. At the moment Taz's is shot.
