He can nominate all he wants, but it's not his prerogative his preference is just a guideline.
No contractual significance , the basics remain the same as always.
We demand adequate compensation equivalent to a first rounder and quality or potential otherwise we keep him , simple as that.
A presto
Geez expensive reserves player.

The only player i know of that has publicly requested a trade and nominated a club and has still stayed is Ryan O'Keefe
I think something like pick 12 for Yarran and pick 20 will happen.

Surely even Carlton supporters agree pick 12 is overs. I certainly think pick 30 is unders.

Pick 30 + 12 for Yarran and 19.

Lennon still yet to resign.

Trades are going to be held up everywhere because of Dangerfield deal. Prepare yourselves for a slow first 2 weeks.

Where is Lennon at with a deal with Richmond?

Just coincidence and people drawing conclusions around Lennon possibly being involved with Yarran? Seems like it.

Pick 30 won't get it done, so somewhere, someone is going to have to budge.

I think your proposed deal is the one that reasonable Carlton supporters were looking at. Your pick is 31 and ours is 20 at this stage with Gold Coast activating their compo pick at 19.

I see #12 and #31 for Yarran and #20 putting Yarran's value at roughly #16-17. This acknowledges the Blues contract leverage sufficiently. I also think, as Wells indicated re Henderson, that the Tigers will be looking at Yarran's best form, not his worst.

Lennon for Yarran will probably be an equatable solution.
Not such a great deal for CFC but better than than a 2nd rounder in a weak draft.
Obviously Ben not signing yet is an obvious indicator.

I think the deal will be pick 12 for Yarran and pick 20. That was basically the same deal we offered Melbourne for Trengove before he failed a medical. It will all come down to whether we rate Yarran higher than we did Trengove to see if we throw in our second rounder.

I reckon that's the least Carlton would take. Pick 12 adds another elite junior player.

I'm shocked your suggesting not a great deal for Carlton.

Lennon was pick 12 and has come in and shown why. Will be a gun and if I had the choice I would prefer to keep him over Yarran.

I think 30 has to go back. Yarran is talented and AFL form is better than TAC Cup so I am all for that.

Keep him, fine by us, we get him as a free agent next year :)
What sort of contract ... years ... money? Possible we could get tier 2 compo but even tier 3 is better than #31.

I'd say you don't necessarily represent Richmond on this trade. They must be after him for a reason.

bergholt's draft calculator has Yarran's value as #19 in a #12 and #31 for #20 trade. We could deal with that.
https://www.draftguru.com.au/pick-value-calculator#12,31,|Chris Yarran,20,
Seems fair....but I think Richmond will look to trade out for a high 2nd rounder (20-22ish) re the likes of Astbury and use that. I don't know, but for some reason I think 12 will be used for something else.

Could live with your outcome. Wouldn't be rapt, but could live with it

It's an 8 spot upgrade in the top 20. If it put us well inside the top 10, the value is there. Not for #12 though.

The draft calculator says:

Yarran & 20 for 12 and 31 = Yarran valued at 19.
Yarran & 20 for 12 = Yarran valued at 45.
Yarran & 39 for 12 = Yarran valued at 23.

Personally think the first one is better value for Richmond while suiting Carlton. The last one overvalues 39.

<Club 1> wants <trade suggestion 1>......not going to happen
<Club 2> wants to use <trade suggestion 2>......not going to happen

These are ambit claims

A fair and reasonable solution will be found
Fixed that if you wanted to post it on nearly every thread on this board. ;)

Thanks mate, sorry, I thought Yarran had nominated us and McKay had asked for a 1st rounder. Please help me out with what I am missing hereo_O
He made it a blank template that you can use it for nearly every trade selection being discussed.
