Richmond desperately need an off season recruit after their failure to attract any top end talent last year and declaration that they would aggressively use their so called war chest this year (and failure to land any of the big names on offer this off season as well). Confident you guys will pay overs.

Pick 12 for 20 and Yarran. Who knows, Lennon hasn't signed yet either ;).
Yeah I was so shattered to miss out on Dale Thomas a few years back.
What a bargain he was for $750,000.

I think everyone knows who the desperate ones are in this situation. Hint: it's the team that finished bottom and has a contracted player who would rather not play at all then play for them.

Where in the media has it been stated Yarran has "chosen" Richmond? If he had indeed chosen you guys, your second point of "has been linked to no-one else" is completely irrelevant isn't it?

Unfortunately, it's not the case, we've had discussions with him already and are still considering a move, pending the Danger trade outcome.

Think it's going to be a case of Richmond just accepting whatever/whoever they can get this year unfortunately - who knows maybe you'll end up with Mark Jamar to give big Ivan a chop out. God knows the big fella has more ticker in his left pinky than that flog Vickery has, and Hampson combined. I do like Griffiths though - best to invest time into him methinks, Vickery's only going to let you down when it matters the most, but he's not alone there is he.

Have had to listen to all the dribble about Treloar, then Yarran, then Bennell.. Getting super boring. Your club needs a new list manager - Petterd, Knights, Gordon, Hampson, Chaplin, Thomas decisions set you back about 5 years. The future isn't looking pretty.
Yarran officially has chosen richmond as i told you

Five.. is that it? Please.. we've lost more stars than that in just the last few years and still have that much elite talent on the list

Who's this etc. etc guy? Never heard of him?

How about respond to a well presented argument with some factual responses of your own rather than trying to entertain a pissing contest you're never going to win.

Two of those were gifted AA's this year because of a pro-Richmond selection panel, and that's not trolling. Try to justify to anyone how Lids gets a gong ahead of a player like Josh Kennedy after playing only 18 games. Don't even get me started on Riewoldt.

Rance is a gun, Martin equally so. Cotchin goes missing when it matters - how many 30+ possie games did he have this year? I'll tell you - as many as he had sub 20 games - 5. Takes a lot more to reach star level than a handful of blinding games a year I'm sorry. Burst onto the scene like a house on fire and has fallen under the weight of the captaincy, don't tell me you can't see it for yourself either.

How many rising star nominees have you had in the last 5 years? Lennon, McIntosh, lemme guess.. that etc. etc bloke too?
If one one of our first rounders have recived rising star nomination for the last 5 or so years

Yarran cannot demand, it's just his indicative prefernece only he has no legal perogative as he's contracted.
Richmond supporters have got to be over his little hurdle which has some significance in negotiations.
CFC require adequate compensation or no deal. Very Simple.

Out of curiosity, probably a question more at the Carlton fans, could GWS be the 3rd club involved?

Carlton want Plowman, Phillips, etc..... Is there a way that something like:

Richmond: Yarran
GWS: Carltons (Pick 38), Richmond (Pick 31)
Carlton: Richmond (Pick 49), Plowman, Phillips, lamb

I dont know, I am shit at hypotheticals. Richmond really steal that trade, but GWS get a couple of picks for the academy selections, Carlton trade Yarran for some youngsters.

Disagree, Carlton are under no pressure because there's a general acceptance that their going be rubbish the next four-five years. Missing out on a pick 30 in a weak draft is not going to change that fact. Richmond on the other hand have a mature list and have failed miserably the last 3 finals series. They desperately need an injunction of quality into their team to bridge the gap b/w them and the top 4 before they window closes in the next year or two. They are under a heap of pressure to find these recruits yet so far they've missed out on all their key targets.
