Correct. It's amusing how SOS is making Richmond dance
lol making us dance.

We have just rid off pick 31 and another pick in the 30's next year for 19 this year. Whats great about 19, after the academy kids are all gone, some great talent that otherwise would have been picked up, are available.

I just want us to walk away and pick yarran up for nothing next year and leave your club one short on your list as well as his salary still in your TPP.

No its not, when the demands are unreasonable.
Hes not worth pick 12, Richmond dont give a shit if you say you want pick 12 for him.
Hes not worth pick 12, Richmond know it, Carlton know it, the rest of the league knows it.
I dont think you understand how trades work.
No, I understand that the seller sets the price and the buyer decides whether to pay that or not.

Pay up or gtfo of my recruiting hut. :D

Repeating over and over that pick 19 is fair and reasonable isn't going to help you. We disagree and have made that clear.

Just because you uped your ridiculous low ball offer isn't very helpful either.

Pay what we ask or move on. You're just gumming up the works at this point.
Wow! So Strong. lol
See ya, have a nice delusional life.

It's amusing how SOS is making Carlton the pariahs of the football world.
The problem for SOS is that it doesn't appear that Richmond are "dancing", only that SOS is "posturing".
The problem for you is that you've managed to somehow ignore the news & pretty much every single post here talking about how Richmond blew future picks on pick 19 hoping it'd get them Yarran

Haha, pick 19 is no good yet picks in the 30's are gold.
The "news" is saying that Carlton should stop being dicks and take 19.

How did we blow future picks ?

We traded pick 31 and 31 next year or there abouts for a round one this year. We now have 2 first selections to get two 200 game players. lol You blues haha and we still have our first next year and we will get yarran for free :)

You're talking about drafts that are noticeable, the first for being particularly weak & the 2nd for being particularly strong. Richmond's blown pick 28 next year will be better than pick 19 this year. Plus you've lost this years 2nd rounder too.

I have to agree that seeing Yarran sit out next year & leave as a RFA looks good. No doubt he has his mind set on Richmond because they've offered him buckets of cash, so Carlton are looking at first round compo in a strong draft. Even 2nd round compo would be great

To an extent Richmond have worked with SOS, if you want to say he's "made us dance" that's your prerogative, I think it's more like we've been honest and reasonable in our dealings with him and the Blues, but whatever.

The point is, Pick 19 is the final offer, and if it doesn't get done, Yarran will take a vacation in 2016, Carlton will be a player down on their list in 2016, and Richmond will pay absolutely nothing for him at the end of 2016, whilst also picking up 2 quality kids in the first round of the 2015 draft.

Those are the facts, and as smug as Carlton fans are being in this thread, it's really all just an act.

I understand that most of the Carlton fans on here are just trolling, and probably understand that they won't be getting Pick 12, but for the ones who actually, genuinely believe that Pick 12 will be going to Carlton, they need to get their head out of the sand.

This thread is surreal. Anyway, if it all falls over we get to use pick 19. Good player this year at 19. Around pick 30 it falls off a cliff. So our second rounder was at the edge of getting talent. OK trade to move into prime territory for good talent from marginal territory for talent. Whether the second from next year is worth the trade I don't know. But right now I'd say we have traded from a decent position to a decent position, without Yarran.

So why would we fold?? Our Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA - look it up) is just ot draft a decent youngster. Pretty good BATNA. CFC's BATNA is to potentially play one down next year, fork out $450K and lose Yarran for nix in 2016. Or grovel and try and make up to him for treating him like scum. Who has the weak position??

As I said surreal.

Yes buckets of cash... what drivel!!!

No, there are always players RFC can trade and get a lower pick next year, there may be a fringe player that wants outetc

That is the issue with you and CFC, you can not work out what can be, only what is...

If 31 and our 2nd next year are so great, why didn't Carlton take them instead?

You'll get compo similar to Leuy..end of 2nd round...if you're lucky (the AFL being pissed at you for messing with the house of cards that is their trade system).

Carlton supporters fail to realise they are just as committed to trading Yarran out as we are to trading him in. This put up or shut up mentality is fine for now, but when the dead line approaches and they are about to be stuck with a player who hates them and is being paid $450K pa, the melts will be amazing.

You are talking fantasy...so we will have pick 28 next year will we ? You need to get a reality check mate. I know with the blues you can easily predict what your pick will be, as you will finish with another spoon but with us, we may finish 5th or even crack into the top 4, who knows, you dont ? All we lost was a worthless pick 31 this year which would get a average player at best, due to the draft being weak at that stage and a pick in the 30's next year for the benifit of getting TWO 200 game player of quality with 12 and 19. This draft is weak, due to after 20 its shallow, guess what, we have 2 picks now inside 20 :)

As to yarran sitting out, thats on the blues.

You are happy to break a contract on menzel as it suits you.

Yet a 7 year player, wants to leave and you crucify him ?

yeah thats on the tigers.:drunk:

If we were ruthless, and I hope Dan is. We will give you till 2pm today, if you say No, we move on. Inform Yarran he will be a tiger at the end of the 2016 season. Get Yarrans management to engage the ALF and PA, and leave your list one short while including his salary in your TPP. While we move on, enjoy our 2 new kids, maybe on trade 19 for the player you want in Tomlimnson.

Good times

I think the general feeling now amongst most of us is to walk, we get yarran in a year anyway. We draft 2 kids with first rounders at 12 and 19 but most important carlton get nothing for him this year, have a player sit out a year while including his payment in the cap and get nothing for him next year!!

If that's not a win win win win than I don't know what is!!

And don't forget we have a 1st round next year in a "strong" draft...and possibly move out a fringe player for a pick in the 20s...

These 2-3 Carlton fan boys on thi sforum are as dumb as dog sh1t

Fine then.

I think you underestimate the extent to which Carlton fans have had a guts full of seeing their exers star for other clubs.

A club simply cannot allow this to keep happening.... therefore a line must be drawn. I hope we do it with Yarran same as I hope Brissy do it with Aish.

If you don't get it you don't get it.

Can't answer the question about why picks in the 30's are now better than a pick under 20, so attacks the man.
Why do you thing the news was in " "??
