Again you show how little you know about the value of pick 19. With the bidding on academy kids, 4 of them will be used in the first round. So pick 19 will give us a pick 15 quality kid, thats another Vlaustin another Ellis etc.
If it's so valuable, you keep it and give us 12. Yarran AND a valuable pick. You should be grateful.

You say as you trade Menzel to Adelaide, Bell to Brisbane, Henderson to Geelong. Nice drawn line. Lmao.
On one hand we are okay with getting rid of players that won't play for the jumper, but circumstances matter.

Menzel was a little half hearted at times but hasn't actively sought a trade and that trade still may not get done.

Henderson checked out half way through the season but he was out of contract and Geelong bent over backwards to accommodate our asking price immediately. Very respectful transaction between the two clubs and as annoyed as we were that Hendo checked out early, at least he was diplomatic towards his own form and the club in general. No announcing a departure on social media while contracted. No threats of sitting out the year.

Bell goes with our blessing because he has already lost his mother and his dad is gravely ill. People should just stop using him to win internet arguments. It's disrespectful and Lions and Carlton struck a very respectful deal to help the guy out.

Yarran however, was approached with a season and a half left on his contract and turned off as a result, effectively lowering his value and then nominated only one club. Who knows how he plays out the season if he didn't have Richmond on his mind. He played it out last year so it's not as though this is a long festering thing. Different circumstances to all of the others.

They probably just want it done so they want to move on to other targets while the trade period is still open.
They'd be better off going and working on those trades and let Carlton come back when they're ready to take the offer. You could probably do better than Yarran with pick 19, Carlton just think Richmond will fold.

There's no way this ends well for Carlton. They either take pick 19 and draft another Boekhorst or he quits footy for a year because he refuses to play for that rabble.

Okay so this is my understanding right.

Richmond convince Yarran at the start of the year they love him and want him at Richmond.
Yarran proceeds to not give a ****, not try, put in a shit effort all year, because hey, i'm going to Richmond.
Richmond confirm - "yep Yarran we love you, we think you're worth a late first round pick" (This is quoted by Richmond personnel)
Suddenly Richmond can't get a deal done, try to offer pick 19 (not a first round).
Richmond - still love ya yaz, you're amazing.
Richmond - you should leak to the media that you wont play in 2016 if you don't get traded.
Yarran - won't play in 2016 because i'm a sook.
Richmond - Lobbe is worth pick 12, hold on here, is Yarran really as good as you've told him all year?

You're obviously fine with parting with #12. You've said he's worth a pick in the late first round. You've told Yarran you want him. Why is Carlton the bad guy for not trading a contracted player for below his worth.

If Yarran sits out next year, hello suing Yarran for his contract, hello investigating Richmond for draft/trade tampering, approaching players before Trade Period, hello Yarran becoming incredibly unfit on his year off. And if he tries to train with Richmond - hello suing Richmond for breaching his contract.

Richmond just tried to offload pick 12 for Lobbe and got rejected suggesting they are open to trading pick 12. Richmond really hurt themselves in this scenario.
It's looking more & more likely they will fold and trade pick 12 for Yarran, given they were going to trade that pick anyway.

Also, trade value =/= player value, you dipshits.

ONLY problem with your melt is that Pick 19 is a ROUND ONE pick. Its a round one compo pick.

Nice fantasy though. I have to admit the veal was poor but the comedy was B plus.

It's an end of round compo pick, therefore not a first round, it comes after.

I think Richmond should just do the right thing and trade #12

Then this can all be over.

Simply put, you have over valued one of your players, He isn't worth #12 to us, when is this going to actually sink in. Pick 19, take it or suffer the consequences. I'm actually excited that he might sit out for a year, we draft another player with #19 this year and get yaz for free next year. Win win doesn't matter which way it goes now.

Where to begin?

100% emotion-based conjecture.

Richmond - Lobbe is worth pick 12, hold on here, is Yarran really as good as you've told him all year?

Because he's not worth pick 12. He's finished top 10 in your B&F TWICE in his 7 years at the club. He had a bad year. He wants to come to Richmond, and nobody else.

A late first rounder (which is what pick 19 is, and will be even earlier once academy picks are taken into account) is Yarran's worth. Richmond see it. Neutral parties see it. Neutral supporters see it. It's only Carlton and their fans that don't. If Carlton don't like it, then they can play with their list - 1, and then lose him for less compensation next year.

Says the people who are bagging out Carlton for trading Menzel when the club has said no such thing.

No its a pick before round 2, you get that right ? So its still a first round pick, just a lower end, what we have said since day 1.

I don't think Tigers ever said they weren't open to trading pick 12, just not open to trading it to Carlton for Yarran.

They believed Yarran is worth an end of first rounder and that's what they have come up with - you can't get any more end of first rounder than an "end of first round" compo pick.

Wanting Lobbe for 12 has shown us what this is really about. They want both, and were hoping we would be dumb asses believing their 'we wont trade pick 12 for anyone' crap, then they come out and get Lobbe for 12, exposing us as morons.

Nice try, but no. Glad we are holding our own here. I was thinking pick 19 was ok for Yaz but with other guys values this trade period, that would be unders for a guy of his ability in a shallow draft.
