lol now you switch to your real intent.

We stated from the get go, we thought his value was a lower first round selection, we have achieved that goal. You so far have rejected it. That is fine, you keep Yarran for a year and see how that works out for you. We I hope have moved on. Bottom line, if 12 was what you were interested from the start and only 12, it should have been stated by the blues but unfortunatly, it was not. Only the opened ended first round is what we want. \

For heavens sake you blues were happy to accept pick 18 or 15 from the hawks ffs.
#15 is about his worth. Not #18. And we dont want to be ****** over. Id rather take a stand against this bullshit contracted player refusing to play and force a trade for unders nonsense than take the unders.

The only people that think 19 is unders is Carlton and its supporters.
It's almost unanimous in the media that it is fair or slight overs but fair for him being contracted.

you realise with the academy selection ,with 19 you will get a 15 pick quality player. My god, please make it a forward as you dont have any more haha.

Now that you have traded Menzel, lets give you Lloyd and our 4th round pick lol

An interesting strategy to trade anyone who can kick a goal in the team.
They will revolutionize the game by being the first club to play without a forward line.
You don't get how this works, do you?

Carlton want pick 1 for Yarran.

They figure that it doesn't matter if they get it this year or next year.

So....

They get rid of anybody who can kick a goal and, BINGO!, another wooden spoon and #1 draft pick!

Simples!

SOS is a genius, I tells ya!

My god they traded Menzel. Imagine how gibbs and murphy are feeling ? lol
We are obviously trying to trade with a moron. The carlton supporters already have the pitch forks out. I thought the Sausage was just playing hardball. Nope, he has officially lost the plot.

I now fear for the welfare of Carlton listed players.

Richmond just tried to offload pick 12 for Lobbe and got rejected suggesting they are open to trading pick 12. Richmond really hurt themselves in this scenario.
It's looking more & more likely they will fold and trade pick 12 for Yarran, given they were going to trade that pick anyway.

Also, trade value =/= player value, you dipshits.

Thats not a drawn line then. Hahaha.
Certainly is.

Back in July this was in the HUN.

"Carlton will only trade Chris Yarran in the event of a sweetheart deal, not scared off by his free agency status next year. The theory is that even if Yarran did decide to walk Carlton is likely to be a bottom 6 side next year. It would mean they would accept an exceptional free agency compensation in the mould of Melbourne's James Frawley this year. He has a close relationship with coach John Barker , with the pair working weekly on turning Yarran into a team-first player with fewer brain fades."

Now obviously Yarran lowered his stocks significantly in the second half of the season, but the message coming out of Ikon Park has been fairly consistent. We're not going to be bent over by players breaking contracts.

Yes, instead you'll trade out one of your best young players for a 2nd round pick and Sam Kerridge.

Better than your opinion.
Do a poll for neutral supporters on Yarran's worth, keeping in mind that Richmond are equally hated as Carlton.
You won't find many valuing him higher than 19

Everyone claiming that 2015 is a 'shallow draft' need to understand what that means.

It doesn't mean that the kids in it are worse than other years, it means that the amount of AFL talent in the draft is less than other years. What a 'deep draft' means is that there is more players with talent. It has to do with the amount of kids that can play AFL football, not the amount of talent the kids have. A first round pick from this year isn't necessarily worse than a first rounder from last year/2016. which is a supposedly 'deep draft', so recruiters could pick into the third and fourth rounds and expect to find good kids. This year they don't expect to do that.

Up to about pick 30, the talent is there. After that it is much harder to tell.

So 19 falls well within the deep end of this 'shallow draft'.

Also, the people talking about the academy picks effectively pushing the selections back, stop. You won't get these kids regardless, if there are 5 taken in the first round it doesn't mean your pick 20 becomes 25, you could argue the exact opposite and say it becomes 15. Either way you won't get those kids so don't stress about it.

Okay so this is my understanding right.

Richmond convince Yarran at the start of the year they love him and want him at Richmond.
Yarran proceeds to not give a ****, not try, put in a shit effort all year, because hey, i'm going to Richmond.
Richmond confirm - "yep Yarran we love you, we think you're worth a late first round pick" (This is quoted by Richmond personnel)
Suddenly Richmond can't get a deal done, try to offer pick 19 (not a first round).
Richmond - still love ya yaz, you're amazing.
Richmond - you should leak to the media that you wont play in 2016 if you don't get traded.
Yarran - won't play in 2016 because i'm a sook.
Richmond - Lobbe is worth pick 12, hold on here, is Yarran really as good as you've told him all year?

You're obviously fine with parting with #12. You've said he's worth a pick in the late first round. You've told Yarran you want him. Why is Carlton the bad guy for not trading a contracted player for below his worth.

If Yarran sits out next year, hello suing Yarran for his contract, hello investigating Richmond for draft/trade tampering, approaching players before Trade Period, hello Yarran becoming incredibly unfit on his year off. And if he tries to train with Richmond - hello suing Richmond for breaching his contract.
Good summary.

Potentially best young players. He too went missing this year for whatever reason. One of 3.

However, the theory is that he too might be looking to walk, doesn't have the runs on the board that Yarran had and has injury concerns.

The theory also is that GWS will accept any 2nd rounder for the 4 players we are after as they are only giving it away to Collingwood anyway. So 28 could get the deal done, meaning we keep pick 20. So even though it reads 28 and Kerridge, it is really 20 and Kerridge, only Pies suffer the downgrade instead of Adelaide.

So now since we are obviously into Kerridge we start pondering whether adding him to 20 fits our rating of Menzel.

Besides, deal isn't done yet and Carlton haven't said anything officially.

You think Yarran is goign to train on his own? Lol. And if you try and get him a PT that's dealing with a player that is contracted to another club and is not allowed in the AFL.

And the rest of your post is wrong.
Good to see Carlton people are genuinely contemplating paying a guy half a million dollars to sit around and do nothing, simply for the club to prove a point.

The only point this would prove about the club is that it's a rabble. Surely Bolton wants a clean start and to be rid of all those who don't want in. He's come from Hawthorn where success means everyone has wanted in. A losing club is a very different environment.

What runs did Yarran have? How many times do people need to say it? He's finished in the top 10 in your B&F TWICE in seven years. How is that having runs on the board?

You think we're going to pay him if he refuses to play lol?
We'll sue him and the AFL will de register him.
