Can't understand why some Richmond fans don't want him. Can play on any line and do damage. Don't know about the the first round pick but he's worth going to the table and a headache or two to get the deal done.
Varcoe has been excellent for us this year and IMO Yarran's impact at Richmond will be greater due to where they are at present.
I want him but I dont think he has shown enough for pixk 12 or for a straight swap from a kid who was pick 12 and has come in and shown he can play. Yarran can play but comes with some question marks no doubt.

Christensen, Greenwood both went for 21 and 25 and Yarran is in that range.

I would hope we can upgrade our pick 30 to a lower 20s pick somehow and then flick that onto Carlton.

This so-called "damaging/high impact line-breaker" was getting seven touches in the reserves team for the wooden spooners.
Eddie Betts only kicked 27 goals in his last year at Carlton (in a team that made the Semi's), then went on to kick 51 & 63 at his two years at Adelaide.
Same situation where the player didn't want to be there, why is Yarran any different?

Agreed, no straight swap. That's wishful thinking on Carlton's part and SOS knows it.

Personally I am excited we will be getting Yarran. He immediately addresses a need we have, we don't have many line breakers who can use the footy. When Yarran is in the right head space, he can do that. All this talk about Lennon makes me laugh. Name one kid the Tigers have lost that was a first round pick ? Say what you like about the Tigers as a destination club BUT we don't lose players we want and we want Lennon.

All this talk about Yarran being worth a first round is garbage. Nobody is factoring in that the Blues have mismanaged Yarran this year to the point where he has walked out on his club, that impacts dramatically his value, thinking otherwise is pure fantasy. We will offer a second round selection and they will take it.
No we wont, thanks for coming.

His name pops up a lot because he is a well rated player that was dropped for a finals game. So there is speculation about whether or not he is happy. That is pretty much it.

But when you consider that he is only a second year player that is practically guaranteed a starting spot in a team trying to push for a grand final next year, and has a huge tattoo of a tiger on his chest, I think the speculation is unwarranted.
So baseless assumptions then?

I have never seen someone so delusional what makes you think he is not going to Richmond?
You're basing this whole line of thinking around getting brisbanes 2nd rounder which will most likely be already in carlton's possession when bell heads north.

Put simply you have nothing of value to offer carlton that you do not believe is overs, thus he won't end up there.

Henderson is bound for geelong, but if adelaide matches geelongs free agency bid and forced them to trade they won't have the currency to get henderson as well.

You have pick 11 and 30+, one is too high, one is too low. Its a pretty simple concept bud, if you ain't got nothing you ain't getting nothing for it.

Things I know/am confident in:

Confident: Yarran hasn't been linked anywhere but Richmond at a time where any old sniff of any ******* trade rumour gets reported on, so I think it is fairly safe to assume tigers are the only party interested and/or Yarran has nominated RFC as his club of choice
Know: Yarran won't be playing at the blues next year.
Know: Contracted players must agree to trades

So, Yarran will most likely come to Richmond next year because Carlton absolutely HAVE to trade him, and Richmond has no need to offer more than a second round pick because Yarran won't agree to go elsewhere/no one else is interested
