I don't think we can underestimate how much losing Betts effected Yaz and Jeffy.

Would love to see yaz back to his best. Not sure if that will be at Carlton though.

Hope whatever personal troubles he is having turn out okay for him and he is getting the support he needs.
I said the exact same to my friend last week, of the unexpected consequence of letting Betts go, has in effect cost us 3 players.

We'd be getting stitched up terribly if that deal went through.
Agree with that. If we can't do better than that I hope the club plays hard ball with Yaz and basically force him to play for us
in 2016 and if he still wants to go, trade him and hopefully get a comp. pick when he becomes a restricted FA.

I'm expecting the AFL to make some changes to the compo pick over the preseason after the whole Kreuzer and Berger situation this year and not expecting much in form of a pick. I say sell now

If the AFL get rid of compo it will create great inequities in the system as so far the FA have gone to clubs in finals contention.

AFL may make the club getting the FA pay in some form, but I do not think the clubs losing players will get nothing.

Latest I saw on draft board was Astbury & 31 for Yarran & 39.

Looking at Weitering, Carlisle and Plowman and they think we'd want Astbury.
Only player I want from RFC are Conca, Ellis or Lennon for Yaz and I doubt the first two are available. So pick #12 is the best solution.

If that is too much then lets see if Adelaide will offer their first as he works well with Eddie:cry:.

To be honest guys , Dont want to be putting people off here but i just cant see the Yarran for #12 happening tbh
and dont think the tigers would entertain the thought keeping in mind that even thogh the yarran trade being discussed Richmond still had 2 first rounders and still do have them on offer for Treloar.

If the Tigers have two first rounders, they can give them to us in exchange for Yarran & Kreuzer.

Guys if you wouldnt trade pick 12 for Yarran, why on earth would we? It just doesnt make sense.

I genuinely believe the trade will be done for a player, probably Bean or Griff.
It's how bigfooty trades work.

we're at different times on the premiership clock, we are miles off, arguably if you get the right players who can break open a final, you're close

Yarran is the kind of player who can torch other teams on his day, icing on the cake to use the cliche....we have no cake. You have one but it's inedible. You need some sugar.

You haven't won a final since 1982 yet you want to play funny buggers when it comes to trading in the missing pieces of your jigsaw puzzle .......... *walks away scratching head*

You need him more than we do, he is under contract so we don't have to trade him so if you do want to win that elusive final, It's time to pony up buddy !!

None of this Bean or Griff rubbish !!

I get your point and appreciate the explanation but Yarran is icing I agree and would be nice to have but only at his true value not at any price.

He just isn't worth pick 12. He isn't that good and before everyone asks then why do we want him. He is a good player and should improve our best 22 but he isn't bennell for example
