Well that continues the pattern of players putting on a go-slow the year they intend to leave in order to lower their trade price. Betts, Garlett, Henderson, and now Yarran.

Seeing as them's the rules, how do we get some of this action?
Patience my friend .
Carlisle has been in second gear this year .
A second rounder or the PSD should Dodoro run true to form will be seen as fantastic shopping !!

surely if Yarran is so depressed and unhappy he would be best back home in perth with family, we could possibly do a trade with freo or wc both have plenty of talented players not getting games
Nothing to do with being depressed. Richmond doesn't help that. He wants to win games of footy and wants to capitalise on the work of others to do so. Doesn't want to be a leader at Carlton.

Lennon (IMO) has a higher value that Yarran. If we did a straight swap I'd be rapped.
I'm not really that sure he does? he is uncontracted and yarran is contracted. he's only played a handful of games too. I know yarran had a stinker this year, but lets not forget he was considered an all Australian chance a few years ago and the thing holding him back now is his head which is easy to change

He's also a massive improver this year, can play both ends, mid sized that can play tall and small, 19 years old......
"Supported Carlton as a kid": tick
Uncontracted: tick.
Rumors of being disgruntled: tick.

Straight swap for Yarran I reckon.
I reckon if Carlton got that job done, they'd sign the papers, walk into another room and be laughing and high fiving for a few hours.

these would be good, but I couldn't imagine many (if any) happening. I'd be happy with one of these....
Yarran - Richmond - 1st Rounder
Richmond - Lennon and 3rd
Sydney - Mitchell (yeah I know.....)
+20 - GWS - Treloar
Gold Coast - Bennell
West Coast - 1st Rounder
Freo - 1st Rounder
Ess - Carlile

Best to worse case.

Yarran for Lennon
Yarran 20 for Richmond's first
Yarran for McBean + extras
Yarran for McBean
Yarran for Menadue +
Yarran for Richmond's second

I'm guessing bottom three most likely

If the offers are terrible, surely we consider send Yarran and Hendo elsewhere.

Like Yarran and Henderson for Carlisle

Is about the same as Henderson quitting in my book.

Sooked all year, doesn't care. Another situation the club is screwed on as even if he doesn't move on you know he won't put in.

And as usual we will get bent over the table in return,

If not a huge fan of Yarran's but surely a former pick 6 with over 100 games experience has a premium over a 20yo with potential?

Contracted vs uncontracted, spooner vs contender etc.

i imagine out of these scenarios it will be:

yarran for 1 of menadue or mBean plus their second rounder

but i genuinely think lennon might be a chance

Absolutely agree with that. After our team cohesiveness was looking so positive in the second half of last season something has gone horribly wrong this year.

I feel as if Yarran is the player we need to be get back on track, he's a good guy who has obviously had his off field issues this year and for a long time. The easy thing for Carlton to do is to trade him, if we really think we're on the right track we back ourselves to turn things around and take the hard road. There is so much for us as a club to gain by holding on to Yaz, finding the root of our issues and addressing them, I see very little gain in letting him go.
Apparently both Yazz and Henderson were not at the Blues' B&F this week.

Is it really that easy to get his head straight? The club has sports psychologists - why haven't they turned him around? I think once players have switched off from wanting to be part of a club it's usually best to let them go. The real problem for Carlton is that we have a poor culture (at present) and so many very good to gun players have left/want to leave: Waite, Betts, Garlett, Yarran, Henderson, Robinson, Jacobs etc.

Yazz and the club have agreed to part ways. Tigers appear to be frontrunners to secure his services. BB commented that he believes Yazz worth a first round pick. The club has started its player cull with Matthew Watson, Blaine Johnson, Cameron Giles and Fraser Russell all delisted today. With Yazz and Henderson also going and the retirements of Juddy, Carrots and Ellard that's nine players already done from the club's 44.
