Could #20 not pick up a talented player in the draft e.g. Collins, McKay's, or a slider/hidden gem?
Yes, lots of uses. One of them shouldn't be giving Richmond extra value in trading for an uncontracted player with 15 games up. Yazz for Lennon straight or 1st rounder (this or next year).

Keep 20 or use it where it's needed.

Last 3 years recap:

Malthouse In
Laidler Out
Betts Out - Robinson / Garlett Out - Yarran Out (suspect Betts was the glue holding these guys together)
Waite Out (suspect Mick either helped decide or Waite figured not much point as a forward playing for Mick)
Henderson Out (suspect ditto - didn't want to play as a forward under Mick or wanted to play back and decided 12mths ago to leave)

Thankfully Malthouse has now gone so he can't cause any more dominoes to fall

If this Lennon blokes is any good, get him in the PSD.

Yazz for the Tiges 1st rounder next year.
He is an absolute blue chip prospect, the player taken before Cripps in the 2013, reads the play well, has nice pace and is a lovely kick, especially at goal.

He ticks every single box for me, he would give us the class and polish that we sorely lack

I think it might turn out like...

Lennon + 31 for Yarran + 20

I think there'd be a few supporters on both teams upset with that deal, but this is where I see it.
Lennon + 12 for Yarran more like it. Sorry but Lennon has shown nothing to date and is out of contract. Yarran on th either hand.......

See you later, Yaz. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

A real shame that you've taken for granted an honour that all of us could only dream of. We're about to set the foundations for returning this once great club to where it belongs - and if you're not willing to get your hands dirty to help us get there, then you don't deserve to be here.

You can have all the talent in the world, but that's of limited value if you aren't prepared to work hard and do your bit for the betterment of the club, particularly in a rebuild as significant as the one we're about to embark upon.

You were a real favourite, when up and about there aren't too many better, but I'd much rather we fill the squad with young talent and with players who are prepared to give everything they've got to assist through the rebuilding process.

Others around that mark on the Richmond list that are tradeable, Thomas, Batchelor, Lloyd.
This is exactly why statistics and formulae should never replace watching a game when assessing the value of a player.

To suggest that any of those three players are near the same value as Yarran is laughable - to the point where I'm not convinced you're not actually trolling yourself and this so called formula.

I'll give you his kicking skills and read, but he is pretty slow. Comparable player to Gibbs, but Gibbs is a much better field kick and read of the play.

Lennon and McBean would be do it , two good young players that would slot in perfectly, both uncontracted and a little disillusioned with the opportunities available at tiger land .
I be happy with that and nothing less.

Lennon may have a higher value right now despite having done less than Yarran, purely because he doesn't have the baggage and has more years left. It is close though as 16 games in 2 seasons averaging 10 disposals is nothing special. Has been sub about 7 times however.
Agree. Lennon's first 2 years are fairly average when compared to Yarran's. With more opportunity Lennon may have shown more, who knows?
Yarran is 24 and only 4 years older than Lennon.
Yarran has shown exceptional skill and pace (excluding 2015). The question is whether Lennon can and will reach this level.

Surprised you guys have no interest in Mckenzie. Big young key forward coming along beautifully in our twos. Son of a former blue. Wouldn't surprise me to see him worked into a trade

We didn't want him last year late in the draft, doubt anything will have changed.

He can't say that with a straight face given the money we were prepared to splash out on players we've tried to lure............and some we're still trying to.
Yeah but with all of this salary going out and the rules requiring someone must be paid it there isn't much he can do I suppose.

He either spoils some younger players again or brings in recruits like Carlisle etc, just hope they dont go down the path of bringing in someone like Steve Johnson just to fill the salary cap quota.
