And I've finished the update to my draft after the first list lodgements. I made the following changes;

#53 Sydney - Pass (lost Hartigan and McNeil due to not having enough room)
#54 Geelong - Jason Tutt
#56 Hawthorn - Kyle Hartigan
#64 Hawthorn - Pass
#65 Richmond - Luke Thompson
#70 Richmond - Charlie McAdam
#71 Brisbane - Mark Hutchings

I added explanations on each new pick on the first page.

well done Chris
easily in the top 3 of phantom drafts imo
maybe even gold, all things considered (early original posting with good explanations).
will say my 1st year of really following the draft & we do supprt the same team, but
you get my support.
thanks:thumbsu:

Great work Chris. I havnt posted my second effort yet but I am seriously toying with Melbourne taking Vardy at 11 as well.

It would be purely strategic though as he may not last to 18 and there are absolutely no other decent rucks in this draft - and then then next best kpp's are all fairly even (at least one of Talia, Carlisle, Fitzpatrick and Black will be around at 18).

Ive seen a few Aaron Black highlight videos now and its made me think he is a good chance to go at 11 as well.

Also Pykie is behaving like a flog on this thread.

I added a fourth selection for the Western Bulldogs, as it looks like they'll now have room....

#68 Western Bulldogs - Jack Hannath
So the Bulldogs have apparently committed to putting Eagleton on the veterans list, which means they will get another selection here. The Bulldogs will be looking for one of two things; a ruckman or speed. So in the end I've gone with a ruckman in Hannath. He's a young, developing ruckman from SA who moves well around the ground. Hannath could well go as early as the third round. While the Bulldogs might need some speed, that will be easier to get during the rookie draft than a quality ruckman.

Also, I'll just mention that although the Bulldogs have both Cordy and Roughead on their list, I see them both developing into key position players more so than ruckmen. And anyways, with the new draft concessions, it doesn't hurt to have an extra tall....

One of my Favourite Phantom Drafts, from a Sydney Perspective.

I can guarantee you now Roughead won't be developed into a forward, he is a genuine ruckman with his tapwork being his biggest strength. I don't mind us picking up a ruck though but would prefer a tall defender.

Good effort though Chris, I'm not a fan of the players you picked for the bulldogs beside Tapscott, but after doing one myself I realised how hard it is to address all needs.

Great effort put into your phantoms. After recently completing a two round Phantom that took a while, i cant comprehend how long it would take to finalise one of this size. Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing your ideas heading into draft day.

All I read was that Pykie has no problems with my selections for North, hence my list assessment of North Melbourne was accurate. So thank you for that endorsement. :thumbsu:

That's like saying 'because Al Qaida knocked down the Twin Towers we should therefor invade Iraq'.

Nothing wrong with yer selections George W., just your discussion of our list is poor at best.

Anyway, good PD. Thanks for the effort. I enjoyed the read.

Im happy with Cunnington, Melksham, Panos and Fyfe. We could also take bastinac, christensen, colyer or duncan at 21. But overall, im quite happy.

While I stand by my draft order, chances are it is no longer all that accurate of what is really going to happen. But as it based on my ratings, the only changes I would make would be to try to move Melksham, Craig and McMillan-Pittard higher in the draft order.

This is what I think will happen though....

Melbourne - Scully
Melbourne - Trengove
Richmond - Martin
Fremantle - Morabito
North Melbourne - Cunnington
Sydney - Rohan
West Coast - Jetta
Port Adelaide - Butcher
Port Adelaide - Melksham
Essendon - Moore
Melbourne - Vardy
Carlton - Carlisle
Adelaide - Sheppard
Sydney - Lucas
Western Bulldogs - Talia
Port Adelaide - Tapscott
Geelong - McMillan-Pittard

Also, I'll update the draft after the second list lodgement tomorrow.

I hope so from a bulldogs perspective. But why Vardy so high?

Wouldn't be surprised if Adelaide took McMillan-Pittard.
