About to stuff my face. Stein of Konig in hand, meats nearly ready, nice range of French and German mustards and horseraddish, whisk(e)y, various potatos (roast and German styled salad), corn, cheeses, Yorkshire puddings and Somewhere in Time on in background (lyrics to Wasted Years are well worth taking in). Just me, the wife and boy - cbf going to parents as I want to enjoy eating (=a beer or two to accompany it). Can't remember if there's any bowl games on this afternoon, if not, darts should be on.

That moment of pure bliss when you see your crackling is going great :hearts:
I cooked roast pork for 10 with perfect crackling (no cheating it remained on the meat) and the meat was succulent and cooked to perfection. Nothing beats roast pork.

Yeah, you've gotta keep it on the meat. It tastes way too dry if you cut it off or even buy those pre-cut sheets of it.
I had a leg with the crackling on, and bought a couple of the pre-cut sheets (purely because I love crackling :p) and there was no comparison. On the meat 1000 times better :thumbsu:
