it's already in my contract to work but i think i am getting the actual public holidays off so i guess in the lead up its normal pay as usual

My new abode has a fantatic 35sqm deck with pitched roof and the afternoon cool breezes. I need to get some stuff there to make the most of it!
Besides that maybe the special edition triple premiership DVD pack, and a couple of good books to help aleviate the wait until the next season starts.

I do believe I am getting a bar fridge and/or microwave, and most people will be getting me stuff for when I move out next year. So basically, stuff I need rather than what I want this year. So you know, linen, crockery, cutlery, and so on. Which is fine by me, saves having to buy it! 
However, if my family/friends are so inclined, I do want:
- United Colors of Benetton perfume (Hot)
- Any of a huge list of CDs
- Some good books
I also want a necklace with a crucifix on it, or a silver bracelet, but I think such things will have to wait until my (18th!) birthday.

Well a heart-shaped sapphire or ruby would be a nice gift for that special someone...
I've got a fair knowledge about gemstones and which ones are best suited for particular types of jewellery, and I believe that the corunudum (aluminium oxide) group which includes ruby, sapphire and several "fancy sapphire" types is by and far the best because of their hardness of 9, beautiful colours and lack of cleavage.
