I knew you were a good bloke but not that good OA.

Seems you and I have something in common. I'll be celebrating my birthday twice this year, tomorrow AU date/time and again Saturday 5th Hawaii time!

I'll have a few for you both days if you like...
Happy birthday x 2 NT Thunder - may your magpies prosper

I psyched them into it...
I actually had a feeling they would announce today...before the Christmas shindig tomorrow.
Would be nice to have a win announced tomorrow, so we can buy beer in numbers for Treloar toasts.
With those sort of psychic powers you need to make minor adjustments to that statement as shown and post it on Thursday 31st March 2016. I believe!

Anybody there?
Any photos?
We made it along - nice day . Not a huge turnout (maybe 500-600 at a guess through the day??). A few kids games and kick to kick out on the oval - The Glasshouse was open for us to have a look around......impressive. Although you reckon they could put the air con on in the function room where dozens of people were lining up for photos and just about fainting from heat exhaustion. Food in the cafe was yummy but on the expensive side.

Very casual sort of event but a fun day and my son's first taste of the club outside of a few matches last year. We went over to the store and got 5 + Elliott ironed on to his back so he's rapt with that :) He had me out on the oval kicking the footy for most of the day so I'm stoofed.

That's full on, when I was his age I got it ironed on my jumper.
Tuff kid!:p

Brilliant day.

Last minute decision to take the kids (took them by myself to give mum a break- my god Collingwood people are nice!)

Anyhow, it was open for everyone. As much as it is the biggest club in Australia- Eddie has ensured that it is actually a people's club. Whilst not major, a lot of free, family-friendly shit.

So, popped in for about 90 mins. The cafe is great. The people were great everywhere. My daughter got her face painted & I signed my 5 week-old son up as a member (without writing as I was by myself- some beautiful Collingwood person filled in the form for me).

Oh & the Boardroom was open, with the 1990 GF playing on the screen. Sat in Eddie's Chair and gave my son a bottle of expressed milk. Got photos of my son & daughter in the chair.

I'll post photos if I can. Awesome day. Best 90 mins of my life. Couldn't wait for a Santa photo though.

Lucky you didn't wait for your photo. The half an hour wait with three kids was ok (Santa,Grundy,Adams & Sinclair). I paid for four photos but waiting for an hour to get processed due to technical difficulties was quite average. Decided to leave as the kids started getting feral.

Agree with the poster above not having the aircon in the Glasshouse on such a hot day was a bit cheap.

As for the food. I remember someone posting recently they had the burger and saying it was average.
Well that is generous. On a positive all of us loved the crinkle cut salt & vinegar chips.

All in all we had a good day and we are very lucky as supporters to have such a wonderful base right in the heart of the city.

Free water. Free face paint. Free games.
For a 'business' they done good.

Every single employee was awesome. Beyond awesome. I even asked how long the food would be (after apologising and saying that I just needed to arrange to be picked up). Was expecting a usual "don't know" from a 14 year-old from the counter. Had the manager come out and assure me it would be 10 mins max &, if longer, go and ask at the counter.

Look, some dude had air con issues. I didn't.

I had my 4 week-old son & my daughter sit in Eddie's chair. I had everyone from a so-called 'feral' club, actually act human.p

Some people will never be happy.

For everyone else- Floria Pica.

(It's a pity I can't post photos- the lady who painted my daughter's face asked for her photo, so maybe it's on the website)

Apologies for killing your high today.....it wasn't my intention.

I am glad you had an amazing day.

I just thought I would give my opinion on my day with those on the board not present........even if it wasn't as great as yours.

The fact I got to spend the day with my three kids was more than enough for me.
