The man sticks his dick into Twigley.

For that reason alone he is in my side. :thumbsu:
This. :D

I was thinking the same thing and questioning if there was better value out there. But i put it down to every team i play will have him, he;'s a proven gun, and i dont want to use two trades to get him in the future..and he;s banging Twigley.

He has had relatively little TOG throughout the NAB games, and even while on the pitch he has spent a lot of time in the forward line.

Come round 1 he'll have 80% TOG, 80% of that in the guts.

Don't buy him at your own peril.

Judd is worth it
Ask yourself this
Who has the greates potential to improve in value by seasons end, Judd or Bartel?

Irrelevant.

If he has a bad start and i can pick him up at $50k-$100k less around round 7 isn't that a better outcome?

Bah.

But he won't have a bad start.
And you know this how?

For all we know, he could get tackled at the opening bounce and dislocate his shoulder again.

Stupid comment.

I'm obviously from the future.

But seriously, Judd will dominate this season. Every sign we've got from the preseason points to this.

I hear supercrows comments about pre-season.. but seriously how can you say from watching his pre-season he will 'dominate'?

The guy has had his first full preseason in years to go with a stronger club than last year (Carlton are definitely better than they were last year). The players around him have matured more to help not only with blocking, but with general talent which takes a small amount of attention away from him.

He's played VERY limited minutes this preseason, but what he's done in those minutes is classic Judd. The guy is a champion, he can break the hardest tags with what appears to be complete ease.

All this is in contrast to an injury riddled preseason and half of a regular season, with a fresh new group of players to play with and extra pressure put on him as a newly signed player. How can you honestly say he WON'T dominate? Barring injury there is no way he couldn't perform better in both SC and in real life than he did last year.

We all know the game has not gone past Chris and thus what he can do with the ball once he gets it will be no different than any other year.

So with a FULL preseason to go along with those silky skills and a groin that won't hamper him I think he will tear it up this year.

Seems m0nty doesnt think Judds worthy either..

Chris Judd
Yes, Chris Judd again. He is still over-rated for fantasy. His groin problems are chronic, they’re never going to go away. He will never be the player he once was, scooting away from packs that have been knocked over for him by the Eagles’ muscle men. The Blues play a different style, more selfish and less accountable, which fails to include setting up their entire clearance game around the Magenius. He should not be bought at all in Dream Team, and he is a risk few should be taking in Super Coach. Yet many of you keep buying him year after year, hoping the old Juddy will somehow return. Wake up and smell 2009!
I’m sure you will want to argue over your favourites, especially you Juddites out there. Juddite rhymes with Luddite!

2008:
21 games at 109 avg,
14 100+ games,
4 150+,
1 game below 70.

If he even improves on these number slightly he is worth it as far as im concerned.

I used to love watching Judd when he played for the weagles but ever since he went to the blues I have just lost interest. Bit of advice though if you are going to get him, get him for SC as he does not seem to do as well in DT.
I have him in my team by anyway. I think he will have a cracker of a year

I look forward to watching you wasting a trade or 2 to get him in your side. :thumbsu:

Im not joking.

Well unless i have 6 keepers in the midfield i will be using a trade or 2 to get a keeper in my side.

Might as well be Judd after he drops to less than 500k around Rd7.

Judd's pre-season SC scores: 83, 77, 52

Worrying? Or misleading?

Both.

Thats what concerns me.

They're misleading because he's only played about 3/4 of each game for the first two games.

However from memory it was stated that he played a fair amount of the last game but was beaten soundly by the Pavanator.

He's been good.. but not great.

Worth the $600k price tag? You decide! :D

It's funny that when discussing Judd the Supercoach player people from all clubs agree "he's a gun", "he's had his best presseason in years" and "he'll tear it up", but if it was a discussion about Judd the Carlton player in a Carlton thread all you hear is "he'll never be as good as he was at WCE", "he's lost his speed" and "justt luvs da $$4Money!!111!! at cArltankscum!!!11 Selwood better!!!11 Pendles is betta!!11".

I think Judd will have a few quiet games, sure. He's the #1 target every week for taggers, and sometimes they succeed. But he rarely has really BAD games, and when he's good, he's very very good. Plus, I love cheering for him and watching him play, and there's something to be said for that.
