Does anybody here believe that a pack of right wing students would have got through Q and A selection process? Of course not. And if there had it there would have been uproar from ABC management and other media outlet like sky news today. Would be talking aboiut it non stop. But the fascist left is untouchable, it seems and coalition too gutless to make it an issue.

The last time I watched Qanda was when Kevin Ruddd was on in the election campaign. I loathe Kevin but I was so disgusted with Tony Jones hostage taking behaviour that I swtiched very early in program and haven't been back since. The ABC has become a shameless disgrace, imo.

Oh, and I should add it is a massive stretch to connect the actions of the students to the ABC. They aren't in anyway connected. One is broadcaster, the other a bunch of students from an unrelated educational institution. The dots do not meet, so why try.

Nonsense. Right wing students are regularly in the audience. They are the 19 years olds in the pink Ralph Lauren button down shirts who ask those scripted and faux indignant questions (written at Liberal Party HQ, of course) to labor and green panellists, while exuding their misplaced sense of entitlement.

Secondly, this whole ABC conspiracy is both hypocritical and baseless. Baseless because there are more checks in place on the ABC to deliver political evenness than any other media outlet in Australia (reflected in the make up of the panel on Q and A and in the audience sample). And hypocritical because I never hear your type criticise the rampant and unchecked bias of News, who knowingly wields its monopoly of our media to affect the political process (a reach that goes far beyond the ABC). On the contrary, I assume you are A OK with this 24/7 advertisement for the Coalition.

Please link to where Tea Party type extreme right strudents have taken over Qanda, or even been detectable in the audience?

Finally, as you are so upset about the lunar side of politics being untouchable and undemocratic, I truly hope your were similarly outraged when a bunch of right wing nut jobs decided to enter parliament house not so long ago screaming political chants and wielding signs about the carbon tax.

Can you link to this, please? When did demonstrators break ninto parliament weilding signs about carbon tax?

How do you know it's a Success? Most of these initiatives are not. Minuscule is a relevant term if you are dealing in Billions
Excluding the fact that Anna Bourke was familiar with it and stated that it had been a success, the mere fact that the young man put the question to Pyne in a respectful and articulate manner despite being on national television, was enough proof to me. Many other students would not have had the confidence.

So the sum total of the ALP reign was a massive amount of debt and Naplan? When did the libs spruke Naplan by the way?

What does a Naplan tell us anyway? Most public schools are badly run and have bad outcomes and Private education is a far better option?

I think most people knew that any way? What it has done has increased the amount of kids by way of lying and stealth into the better performing public schools. Something the luvies wanted to avoid

You really have no idea and obviously dont care

So you must be one of those 20 year old socialist hippies who wears flannel tops, squelches around in crocs, has the odour of sweat and grass, drives a Daihatsu that look like it has been nuked, but is against nuclear power, thinks Adam Smith is invented the evil concept of profit, and is regularly mistaken for a suburban Hare Krishna devotee.

Yes?

Please keep your gross generalisations of social and political class to yourself, it exhibits a skewed and shallow perspective of political belief, which I hope you don't have.

Pyne made effort to promulgate the success of our student loan system. I hope he was sincere and this government never entertains dismantling it, which could be easily done indirectly by changing the eligibility and repayment conditions. The public needs to pay close to attention to what government does.

How has it been a success? What were/are the benchmarks?

Obvious set up was obvious

Lets hope that Hockey,Abbott and Turnbull realize the half a billion dollars that can be saved by reigning in the ALPBC

Interesting they tweet out and then show the audience demographic.

Last night's audience:
ABC Q&A @QandA · 20h
In the #QandA audience tonight: COALITION 47%, ALP 38%, GREENS 9%.

So once again Jane you have no real idea of what you are talking about.

I really can't imagine you are that naive pazza. The program was hijacked my left wing activists. Do you think they might have ticked the boxes that represented them as coalition supporters?

Or be part of the 9% greens or be part of the unaccounted for 6%? But hey lets jump to conclusions cause thats the way we do it in a Liberal run country. Paging Muhamed Haneef...

Yeah, if only we had a recent example of a large group of right wing, LNP supporting, students attending Q&A. Perhaps members of a club that required them to be both students and Liberal supporters. Of course, we'd probably require proof that said students were there, and not the silly ABC statistics that are open to tampering from disgruntled, immature Labor and Green supporters. Maybe from, say, said club's official facebook page.

Then again, this being the ABC, that would never be allowed to happen.
.

You do realize that you might have brought tears to the Liberal fan base on here? in more ways than one.

Let's be honest our Christopher would have loved every moment of that protest as it would have put his smug little face up at the front of the "lets save our country from these despicable lefties" movement

I have already answered this, if you don't like the answer but like the program, look it up yourself. If you don't think that the program is worthy, ignore it or just keep asking questions.

Is a disgrace that AlpBC allowed a large bloc of placard waving idiots into their audience. Its time the joint was folded. And the great irony of the students protesting, is that once they actually start doing some work and earning some real money.. they will probably become conservative voters. Self intrested, self serving "world owes me a living" scum.

Opposed to being born into it?

Can't see how the students' actions automatically see them classified as extremist left.

They are against the deregulation of the tertiary education system that will clearly create a bigger gap in the quality of institutions and access to them. Which will clearly affect poorer students and their families. They appeared to be (somewhat happy) with the status quo, which, viewed in the broader scheme of things, is pretty good.

No-one was hurt and a program about politics got the most political it has in a long, long time, rather than a bunch of people blowing hot air about the same topics, someone got organised and took some action.

Good on them.

I believe much of the audience for last week was from the Sydney University Liberal Club, with connections to Turnbull and Andrew Neil.
