Actually, I think that this can be proved as all sittings are recorded. I recall BB stating one time that she would listen to recording when TB called her out in the last Parliament sitting.
I wonder why Labor is not making a bigger deal out of it.

Because neither party could really be considered 'nice' in their language and behavior, and know that bringing attention to it is a lose/lose whoever does it.

The best they can hope for is for it to circulate and draw comment (as it has) without their fingerprints (and thus, nobody comparing it to them). So really, they get their 'best case scenario' by doing very little.

HS, how the hell did you become a Brions fan?

I didn't really pay attention to football until the '04 Grand Final.

With most of Adelaide getting excited over the Power's prospects, I took the opposite stance and started supporting the Lions.

Since then we've made one final series.

I don't see any "assault" in the footage, an MP of his status shouldn't be throwing around criminal accusations so flippantly.

Not sure why he thinks Shorten needs to comment on a fairly small, probably Socialist Alternative, protest.

Being fairly young and having lived in the same area my whole life, I've never had anyone else "represent" me. :(
Democracy in action.

Pyne is just going full loon. Not taking the post budget response very well, likewise the protest on TV. I think he has just decided it doesn't matter anymore and is losing his shit with abandon. Little else could explain the outbursts or being stupid enough to get caught directing Bishop on TV.

Crikey article on it: http://blogs.crikey.com.au/fullysic/2014/05/15/did-c-pyne-drop-the-c-bomb/

Highly suggests he said grub. Besides that I'm not sure Pyne comes across as the type of person to drop C-bombs so casually, if at all.
Yeah I really feel sorry for Pain (well that's how he pronounces it). When I ask people "what is it you can't face?" to people I am arguing with (channelling the Mother Superior to Maria in The Sound of Music) I am amazed at what people think I have said.

I see what you did there! Heeh

Pyne wants to hand edu over to the states ,this will make him redundant as we wont need a fed edu minister.Seriously if edu goes to the states the size of the fed gov should be trimmed as the states take on more tasks we will no longer require 200 ultra expensive fed pollies as their workload and responsibilities will have been reduced

Christopher Pyne is the kid everybody picked on and in turn is having his turn picking on the poor.

we call that kid shitbrick..he reminds me of Stiffler from American Pie, always want's to **** around but hates being ****ed around.

One year on Pyne seems to have morphed into someone who discusses education sensibly and resists making political points every other sentence.

Latest report seems sensible, we can only hope !

Can someone please explain what this means?
It recommends ramping up the focus on Western civilisation and Australia’s Judaeo-Christian heritage and scaling back emphasis on indigenous history and Asia.

I was hoping I was wrong.
Seems we will need lots of liquid paper and someone might have to do something about Google. Heaven forbid if some smart kids should do their own research as they will get a real shock.

There will always be those kids Mags, I'm not worried about them. It's the dumb ones that worry me.
i know what you mean surely aboriginal culture should come first, their wonderful advanced technology , first class painting in caves bugger canvas , bark huts that any builder would marvel at, music that was so easy on the ear, it was all so lovely compared to anything western civilisation could have thrown up,

It gets even worse. Is Kevin Donnelly the guy that thought it is okay to strap kids?
The other parts of the report that gets me are:

The report calls for “some significant recasting” of civics and citizenship teaching, saying “serious gaps” have been identified.
“A well-balanced emphasis on the virtue of patriotism – pride in being Australian – along with being a citizen of the world is needed,” it says.
Hysterical laughter is heard.
and my favourite:

It calls for “more emphasis on morals, values and spirituality”. Whose morals, values and what does spirituality have to do with it? My favourite session to miss was Religious Instruction.
Surely it is up to the parents?

Another case of, 'Back to the Past'. Those days were so good of course.

yes lets not have any set of standards to apply to, lets just have a wonderful do what you like and bugger everyone else, at your age you really should know better, but the old chip on you shoulder becuase you were an immigrant is showing up loud and clear , time to build a bridge
