At least she is capable of admitting when she was wrong. Also there is no shame in being wrong and then admitting that you were wrong. In fact the world would be a lot better if everyone was brave enough to do that rather than sticking to ideas that you had that are clearly wrong but you are unwilling to admit it. Sort of like voting for Tony Abbott was not a bright thing to do but many people are still in denial and refuse to admit they were wrong to do so.

I've never known any name spelled Wang to be pronounced Wong. We had Wang computer stuff when I first started at work. (last century!) Were we wong to say wang? I mean do 3 wongs make a wang? or was that a white? (Enough, enough enough)

It's well known amongst those involved in campus politics at the time. His push for president of the campus "liberals" at the time were sordid and bitter but that was just one of his problems. His abrasive and disrespectful behaviour to just about everyone, made him a real target and his person was threatened many times.

This is neither a lie nor a beat up. The only one that risked getting beat up was Pyne so he took precautions.

I've always spoken against an age limit to stand for office, but watching him makes that viewpoint hard to justify.

He made a near immediate transition from student politics to Canberra, and it shows.

Do you reckon that if there was documented evidence, just as there was with Abbott's bullying when he was a student, do you reckon that it would not have made the news somewhere?

If you are hell bent on finding out for yourself, I'd start with going over to Family First HQ here in Adelaide and start asking around. I'm sure you'll get some leads and then, I'd try and find other politically minded uni students of the time and ask them.

I'm sure that a budding investigative journalist would have a great time researching this particular time in Pyne's life.

As for being biased against Pyne, all I can say is that I don't like him as a person, I don't like his politics, I don't like the way he goes about things and I certainly don't take him seriously other than he can and has been, a destructive force in Australian Politics but that does not mean in any way, that I would spread crap about Pyne nor any other person regardless of how much I loath them because to partake in that type filth, would make me no better than those towards whom I have no respect.
