This might be shaping up for criminal charges.

The search warrant and accompanying affidavit were filed in Santa Fe County Magistrate Court nearly two weeks after a New Mexico prosecutor overseeing the probe said some of the individuals who handled guns on the film set may face criminal charges over the death of Halyna Hutchins.

Investigators requested confiscation of Baldwin's Apple iPhone in order to examine text messages, email correspondence, social network communications, browser activity and other information on the device, according to the seven-page affidavit.

"There may be evidence on the phone, due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s)," the affidavit said.

So it should. If this was in a private home and he wasn't a celeb he would have already been charged. I can see this going Bruce/Caitlin Jenner tho and nothing happening

Good as they should

Workplace deaths happen and people in charge pay the price with either fines/gaol

The following negligence contributed to the death:

  • having a dual role for the armorer....prop assistant and head armorer so she couldn't have adequate gun security/ control
  • not inspecting the ammunition closely enough to ensure no live rounds were present
  • failing policies for assistant director to inspect the gun before calling it a "cold gun"
  • the actor using the gun without inspection in front of armorer
  • aiming a gun and firing at someone
  • inadequate safety on set which included two previous misfires of the gun

I think both Baldwin and the amorer will be found guilty

But that's an OPINION right, as no one has been CONVICTED?

He was on the phone through the mandatory training. Looks like she's thrown Baldwin under a bus but someone handed him a gun with live rounds in it.

"Baldwin was provided only minimal training on firearms," the statement of probable cause against Baldwin reads, adding that he had "limited training" in firearms, including the cross draw technique that was required for the scene he was practicing as well as how to check if a weapon was loaded or unloaded.

In a statement of probable cause against Guiterrez-Reed, prosecutors said the young armorer also failed in her professional role to meet industry standards by not demanding Baldwin focus during the training or keeping the session on track.

She later told investigators Baldwin's firearm training was essential and could have prevented the fatal shooting.

Surprised this didn't get more of a mention here today. Always thought he got the rough end of the stick.
Complete cluster* from the beginning. But blame lies somewhere..................

Baldwin pleads not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Says he didn't even pull the trigger.

Baldwin has denied responsibility for Hutchins's death, insisting he was told the gun was "cold," meaning it contained only blank rounds, and that the weapon fired without him pulling the trigger.

The original charges were dropped over questions of whether the reproduction Colt .45 revolver Baldwin was rehearsing with could have been modified to allow the gun to go off by itself.

"The armorer on the film “Rust,” who loaded a live round into a revolver that went off on the set in 2021 and killed its cinematographer, was sentenced on Monday to 18 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter.

The sentence was the maximum that the armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, could receive.

In her manslaughter trial last month, prosecutors argued that Ms. Gutierrez-Reed had been repeatedly reckless in her job of managing weapons and ammunition, directly causing the tragedy on Oct. 21, 2021, when the gun that Alec Baldwin was practicing drawing from his shoulder holster fired a live bullet, killing the cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins."
