I'm not sure why when you're given a healthy new born boy, one the first things you do is start chopping bits off of them. Seems counter intuitive to me.

It may seem that way to uncut men.

However not having one, it's awesome.

I'm curious about that argument. Why would it matter if you looked like your Dad? Just to avoid a couple of questions if the kid noticed?

It's quite often the Mothers decision.

If a woman finds uncut dicks horrible to look at naturally she doesn't want her kids pecker looking back at her with that ugly look.

It's been funny over the years to have discussions with people over the topic. Funny mainly because just about every person i've discussed it with has been a woman. And not just any women. Women who hold a pro-abortion stance.

All I have to say is so it's not ok for me to have my sons pecker "mutilated", but it's ok for you to mutilate a healthy fetus?

The reactions are priceless.

So terminating a life, and terminating a foreskin are pretty much the same thing in your book? Those women probably think you're a bit simple Gus.

No they are not the same thing.

One is a far more brutal act. I'm simply pointing out hypocritical view points and the over reaction to a small piece of skin being removed for beautification and hygienic purposes(or mutilation, that term makes me haha) compared to the mutilation and destruction of another living organism.

what "health" benefits?

Circumcision is proven to be an effective barrier against STDs, including HIV/AIDS. It also prevents fungal/bacterial infections of the glans. That's most probably the reason it was invented to begin with. Most religious traditions that seem strange nowadays probably made perfect sense 3000 years ago.

The main drawback is the risk of botching the operation, which is why it is so much less common now in an era where we have plenty of other options for treating STDs. But before the invention of antibiotics where STDs like Syphilis were fatal, circumcision would have undoubtedly been as important then as vaccinations for measles/whooping cough are today.

Presumably you don't remember what it was like to have one so you would have to say that, wouldn't you?

I would. Just as all the mangina men who cry mutilation don't realise how awesome it is not to have one.
