Clancee Pearce elevated!

Guess who's commentating on Saturday night.

I'm worried he might have a heart attack from the excitement of having Clancee, Barlow and Ballantyne all playing.
You serious? ****! I hate BT. That ruined my day.

So do you prefer the smooth sounding, intellectual Dwayne Russel?
I prefer a commentator, not a baboons arse. BT is the second worst commentator I have heard in my years of listening to football, with Rex Hunt number 1. Call the game, you aren't a comedian, you are just a fat **** who thinks he is funny but instead is just a giant ********.

Stopped taking your meds?

For a young guy, you sure sound like a cynical old bastard. :p
Hah. Not really cynical is it to think that BT is a shit commentator? Cynical would be thinking all commentators are shit.. back in my day they were good etc etc. I know BT is shit, We've had to listen to him for every Sunday arvo Freo game for the last two years or whatever it was on Fox. It is downright frustrating. He can't get players names right and some he can't pronounce so he makes up shit nicknames. The other times he decides to make up his own pronunciations... such as Ebert, which is not hard to say.. but BT has to go EEEEE Bert...

I dunno, call me crazy but I think the footy is good enough on the field not to have the need for a commentator to try and make it "more" entertaining. I just want the basic commentary, or none at all.

I don't mind BT's buffoonery. I hate hackneyed cliches, and Dwayne Russell is the worst commentator I've ever heard in that regard.

"From the paint"
"Gives it some sky"
"Goal of the year" (for a regulation snap from the boundary).

How about "He can Get 'n' Go" or "Spent it before he earn't it"

There is nothing wrong with cliches.. they are cliches for a reason, they fit the context and explain exactly what happened. I hate the hate on cliches!
There are many things wrong with you, Bradesmaen, but defending Dwayne Russell is by far the worst. You have to have some kind of personality disorder.

State where I said Dwayne Russell is good, or where I defended him. I simply said cliches are good.

So after a solid season, how does everybody rate Clancee Pearce?

Personally I think he still has a large scope of improvement, given he only managed to get AFL level continuity going during 2012. I think he is probably our toughest midfielder, with a great penetrating kick on him.. I really think he is a lock for the 22 this season. But he has his detractors..why? What does he do wrong/not do that he should?

His Speed is my major concern.
With Danyle in the ranks and the imminent return of Mora, I would not say he was a lock for the 22.
It would be a hard judge who says he does much wrong though .

Personally I think he lacks polish, his skills are reasonably untidy and he is slow. I would hope that Sheridan and crozier work their way into the best 22, I think Pearce will be the player to make way
