Unfortunately, things were very different in that era - “Not making a fuss was the very strong message that women of my generation received in regards to speaking out........." If that were to happen today he quite likely would have the book thrown at him. (Unless of course if your an MP or work at Parliament house - sarcasmnot)
Or manage an electoral office (ex-MP Craig Kelly related).

Nice work BFew.

You would have to think that if police were serious about catching the Gosnells teenage masturbator it wouldn’t have been that hard.

They had a description; there weren’t that many high schools in the area. Give the description to teachers. Get the schools to have an assembly and let the witness have a look at all the students.

Even if the kid had left school, teachers would remember them.

What about class photos? Asking other kids, perhaps.

There is no way those cops were serious.

I recall that Bradley Robert Edwards was working based at the Perth CBD Wellington Street Telstra Exchange for a while.

Pretty ironic, but hardly surprising that WA Police is now reported to be looking at this building as a possible new High Tech HQ.

One day, WA Police might even be tracking old Bradley from the same office that he operated from.

Doubly ironic if young Bradley was ever tracking his victims, witnesses or even WA Police from the Wellington Street Telstra Exchange!

'Such is the high level of equipment at SOCC that its capabilities include facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition, closed-circuit television access and electronic monitoring.'

'claims existing IT infrastructure at the facility will simply not cope with growing demand.'

'A lack of internet “power” at the Maylands facility has been mooted as a potential issue in recent weeks, though an NBN spokesman said no issues had been raised with them by WA Police with regards to the reliability or speed of the NBN in the Maylands area.

The West Australian has also been told existing IT infrastructure in Maylands will simply not be able to accommodate further digital enhancements being implemented by WA Police.

It is understood that the Telstra building on Wellington Street has been talked about as a possible new location, although nothing official has been signed off on.'

It blows my mind that you can drag a women into the toilets at work and try to sexually assault her while and not get sacked.
WA Labor (Burke 1983, Dowding 1988, Lawrence March 1990-1993) were in power for 10 year period that covered 1990 when the Hollywood Hospital Assault took place.

Peter Dowding SC was a lawyer by trade before and after (Solicitor and Barrister) his years in Politics.

That 10 year period of Government was during what is known as the WA Inc.

So it looks like collateral damage from all the wasted time, money, resources and priorities with the WA Inc. series of disasters and the resultant litigation and Political fallout and instability, included some pretty obvious weaknesses in the criminal justice and WA Policing system that were not fixed during that period by WA Labor. Collateral damage that facilitated someone like Bradley Robert Edwards, getting away so lightly or at all, with what he did at Hollywood Hospital 1990, and his earlier various Huntingdale and surrounds crimes.

What happened next (1993-2001) with Bradley Edwards during the period when Richard Court (Premier) and the Liberals were in power in WA for 8 years, covering the period of the disappearance/murders of Sarah Spiers, Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon, took the incompetence to a whole different level.

'On 5 April 1990, Parker announced that he would resignation from Parliament later that month. Although he planned on resigning later, Dowding resigned as well on 26 April 1990, allowing by-elections to occur on the same day. Judy Edwards retained the seat for Labor, succeeding Dowding as the member for Maylands at the May by-election.

Lawrence initially resisted calls to establish a royal commission into WA Inc, however she relented in November 1990. The royal commission found that:'

Mr Dowding, as premier, presided over a disastrous series of decisions designed to support Rothwells when it was or should have been clear to him and to those ministers closely involved that Rothwells was no longer a viable financial institution. This culminated in the decision to involve the Government, through WAGH, in the Kwinana petrochemical project as a means of removing the Government's contingent liability for certain of the debts of Rothwells. Electoral advantage was preferred to the public interest.

Toying with Cops?
A quick google of depraved Bradley and "toying" only comes up with some homemade sex toys.

No toying in any of the CSK books I have as far as I can word search.

Sounds like the article could be about how BRE was thought or known to have been evading Police with his choice of vehicle routes.

Missed this from the 15 June 2022 - good old Daily Mail (trying to link MM as being BRE "known" to JR):

'Mr Blanch said he also wanted to ensure that if another serious crime happened in WA, that it is solved “very quickly”.'

If only they could make this goal retrospective!

Telstra owes WA more than one, for some of what happened (known, unknown and suppressed) involving Bradley Robert Edwards connected to his employment with Telecom/Telstra.

'Sun, 24 July 2022 4:00AM'

'WA Police recently awarded a $4.9 million contract to “missions specialist” company Fugro — which specialises in autonomous vehicles, robotics, data analysis and remote communications.

The company has also recently partnered with the Australian Space Agency to build and operate the Australian Space Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Control Complex in Perth.'

'we’ve brought Fugro on, because they’ve got all the lessons from Rio Tinto, BHP, space exploration, NASA, and we are going to bring them straight into WA Police and use the exact same capabilities to find people who are lost out in the bush and to help people who are lost out in the ocean.”'

'Mr Blanch said another area of policing he was “very intent on expanding and growing” was targeting child sex abuse and child-exploitation material crimes.
“We are going to use technology super aggressively,” he said.
“I’ll be targeting those type of offenders in the community and we will be finding them through using partners like Telstra, like the FBI, like the Commonwealth, and we will be finding people in our community who are exploiting our children.”'

A few powerful comments by King Col in that article, and we can all only hope that they are working towards something concrete, they must have some pretty conclusive info they're working with and on for him to publicly say "he was confident that justice would prevail" re Sarah and Gerard.

G'day all, new to the forum, but definately not new to the case. Been on it for 25 years, so the latest is that the police believe he did not act alone. I know who else they are looking at, though i cant repeat the name.

Let me guess ... a relative?

Let me guess ... a relative?
Mates, relatives, only one can be true, but not for me to say. In 2008, i figured out that he used predetermined places to put the girls. This means he used a pattern, which also shows the direction of his huntingdale house. I have a photo which is from 2014, showing that direction, 27 months before they knew his name.
I'll find it and post it.

Remember in the trial a witness saw two people, across the road from each other but obviously together, following one of the victims? Can't remember the details, but the witness was either someone sitting in a car waiting to exit a carpark, or a group of workmates heading out for the night. It was never mentioned again, but it definitely stuck with me.
