I'm sure investigators would know this but they need to have a really hard look at the inside of his forearms and any historical pics where they can be seen, the place that doesn't see much sun.

It's prone to heavy scarring, scratches and clawing can leave scars visible ten plus years later.

Im covered in scars Shelly. I have two lots of stitches in my forearms alone.

To be honest, my scars are white on my dark skin. Except for chest which are darker. Stitches.

Not thought about it too much.

It must be the type of scars? Scars on legs were cauterised shrapnel wounds.

Deep lower lacerations in lower legs are only slightly different in colour.

Scars around knuckles are barely noticeable with only fine lines. Thumb laceration you would barely see. Its a fine line and the skin folds.

You can only really see the scars in my neck from hair growth distortion in the neck. You look had you can see the stitches. I get pimples in the scars occasionally because the hairs become ingrown in the scars. Hard to see. I have to shave carefully because it can damage the scars.

Point taken, but they would have to have expert analysis. Imagine being a scar specialist.

Remember the person mentioning the scar near the eye on the accused. Looks like fingernail dig?

Whilst reading the last few posts a thought came to me, do you think it is possible that the alleged self inflicted wound to the ear could be an attempt to hide an old scar with a new one?

I wouldn't think so. Difficult to link old scars he is probably covered from footy and possibly a few fisty cuffs with mates. Then all the young ladies allegedly.

Sure it can be discounted by other circumstances, unless the scarring can be said to be caused by a specific type of action, like a pinch rather than a scratch. It was indicated that the DNA found on Ciara was found under and on her thumb and forefinger. Correct me if i am wrong but the thumb seldomly comes into play with scratch but most definitely does with a pinch (and drag).

Totally agree with you're proposition. So many alleged victims that we have already heard about and probably so many more. A big pool of people.

He allegedly attacked his victims from behind including HD 1988 victim. So that needs to be considered re scratches etc.

Girls in vehicles is a different scenario isn't it. They would fight with everything they had. 😥😥😥

Yes but with a much longer reach than they at 6"1' and arm locked at the elbow, she's controlled and kept away from his face in a vehicle simply by grabbing her by the hair and forcing her head down. What is she going to do? Claw ... try to shift the gears to give him a problem, wind the window down or try to open the door. Kiddy locks are on. Every time she resists, her head is smashed up against something on the inside of the door.

He still has no problem driving, assuming his car was an automatic.

It's almost hopeless and this is why experts say 'never let them take you to another location' ... if we didnt how dangerous it might be simply getting a lift home with someone we didn't know or barely knew, that's how easy it is once you are in their car.

cops doing a door knock this week and last asking "can you remember a telecom van parked in the bushes, by the Vietnamese part of Karrakatta Cemetery, 22 years ago?"

Pondering the accused's apparent failure to arrive in Dawesville & something curious occurred to me regards original "telstra man" we heard about prior to arrest.

Was that a coincidence, irrelevant or perhaps a legitimate leak with a good dose of chinese whispers?

Ie. Was there really a man living in Mandurah who was an ex cop working for Telstra suggested as a potential suspect & who didnt have an alibi for some of nights the girls went missing?

Or....

Was a man from telstra who failed to arrive in Mandurah the night one of the girls went missing suggested as a potential suspect to the cops after claiming a false alibi that he'd been trying to get back with his ex?

Just a thought.

Supposed to be at Dawesville but didn't turn up until mid morning next day. (Ciara)

The charge for Ciara states an allegation of murder on 15 March. I believe the mid morning Dawesville was Saturday 15th.

The press are not paying too much attention to detail and accuracy are they. Hope things improve for reporting on trial proper.

Has there even been a snippet of evidence the hands of Jane or Ciara were bound?

Don't quote me on it because it maybe media inaccuracy and its been vague connotations

So the Karnataka sexual assault was alleged to be a handcuff knot of some sort? And there is a forensic link to Ciara.

Now it may just be DNA link, but it appeared the same rope was used.

The assailant used a cord with a “pre-prepared, improvised handcuff knot” to bind the terrified teenager’s hands.

He placed a hood over her head, carried her to a vehicle and drove her one kilometre north to Karrakatta Cemetery, where he raped her twice.

She waited until his vehicle had left, and still naked from the waist down and bound by her wrists, made her way to Hollywood Hospital.

Medical staff took intimate swab samples.

Melsy, what was the source you used when you posted about BRE mother coaching the HD victim in the "media releases only"?
I haven't seen it in one news article today

At least they got there, it could be worse. The KK victim might still be hiding behind a bush out the front of the hospital waiting for them to show up.

don't you hate it when they look stunning in a dress that will never fit you? I know I get jealous of them:'( . The fact I'm really short and my friends aren't yet they can strut their stuff in stilettos where I would just roll my ankle and fall flat on my face with no alcohol in my system:D
Some of us can look hot in a denim miniskirt. Been told that a few times. At the parties. Even outside going to an event. By a female. Wow.

Agreed, until we have a conviction I don't think anyone would think that any charge is a "slam dunk", even the DNA under the finger nails.
Bre's DNA under CG fingernails. Well he is fooked with that evidence. SS Bloo. Curdling scre.. Well it seems now it came from Mosman park. But I thought it came from the top of Swan View. Namely Pechey Rd. carpark. The Cops have been all over that area. But maybe there were 2 two screams. And one was in Mosman park. And the other elsewhere?

Bring the scenario back a little. Ciara gets in the car, he acts like its any other woman hes given a lift to before. he pulls over at some point and tries it on with her. reaches in for a kiss or such and she rejects him. he doesnt take no for an answer, ciara reacts by screaming, scratching and pushing him away. if they are both seated in the car, his face is in easy reach. she goes for the eyes, and puts a big scratch on to his face, coming away with his DNA on her finger nails.

Could be that too. There's probably young women watching this thread, my post was more a reminder of what can happen if you get into the wrong car.

The Birnie's did it, on the Stirling Highway as well and I'm not sure many in that generation even knew who the Birnies were. We forget.
