reckon they should try opening with Clarke. Kallis - and plenty others - is hardly a slogger, but he opens in T20 and does the job, Clarke might be able too

or he could just start backing away to everything

Well the positive for him are that Indian grounds are small and run faster than Australia. He won't have to be as worried about the short ball either.

In recent times, Clarke has adapted excellently to taking on captaincy and leading Australia in tests and the few ODI's hes played since becoming skip.

In a position of responsilbity at Pune he will adapt perfectly and dominate because he is so mentally strong, and aware of his game now.

It took Clarke a while to work out, but T20's are 30 overs less per innings than the ODI's and thus scoring at a higher rate is required. Now that he has mastered this knowledge, he will surely put it to good use.

We shall see...

Wish the IPL was on free to air like it was when Cambo hosted it. Was awesome watching it every night.

Has Foxtel got it this year?

To sum up, no one is really agreeing with your OP so you're reduced to petty sarcasm.

Youtube have it again. Dunno who is airing it in Australia.

Oh no you've got me. We'll wait and see, but I suppose if his record is similar to his first class by the end of it, you'll be saying he did his job.

He's been a bit unlucky. I think he'd be pretty good at the role.

It's a joke though because Pune can't drop him for all the money they spent - all the while keeping Jesse Ryder out cost them their whole tournament.

Unlucky? He has a serious contract for a format that he is seriously below par at and you say he is unlucky?

Watch him score some dead rubber runs though in one of the last two.

He's played what, 3 games? Made a good knock of 41, then failed after being bowled by one of the most ****ed up deliveries from de Lange - the ball didn't even appear to hit the stumps. I would class that as unlucky. Last match he scored about 13 but Pune got absolutely smacked, he was one of their better batsmen funnily enough, and did get caught inches from the boundary. If he's getting serious money, blame Pune for a poor investment.

I sense the Clarke-hatred is strong in this one.

EDIT: Okay, I checked, fair enough you're right, he's played 5 games in fact and that cripples my point. However, as I said, it's more of a reflection of Pune's list management. Perhaps Clarke would be having a better impact had he not spent a year or two out of the game.
