He was an assistant at the cats for a few years. Only just moved to the tuggers. He is pretty experienced as an assistant.
Caracella has been in the system for a while, highly rated, will be a senior coach one day no doubt.
I just doubt it's at the Hawks next year.
a) Why would they sack Clarko?

If Clarko walked and took an opportunity at another club, Hawthorn usually like to promote from within. In that case Brett Ratten would be the next favourite to coach the Hawks as he has been the assistant and midfield coach at Hawthorn for five years now since the start of 2013 and knows the list from back to front.

How long before Clarkson to Sydney? Must be about the only club he hasn't been linked to in 2018.

The Suns haven't really moved forward under Eade. Unless this season goes well it'd only make sense to look elsewhere

Fwiw the rumour has been on our board for a couple of months now that its unlikely caracella will be at the tigs next year, although it was more tied to the pies back then

I reckon Caracella is a lock for the head coaching role at the Magpies next year.
Saw Clarko buying some SPF 50 sunscreen and a pair of thongs at Woolies yesterday. Gold Coast job a certainty.

A respected poster with inside info on our board has revealed Eade sealed his fate on Saturday and won't be the head coach next year. He also said the club already has a current AFL coach ready to replace him at season's end...
To further the theory for anyone who doesn't live here, the local media questioned club officials today over who will be coaching next year and they refused to comment.

Melbourne were a basket case the AFL decided they had to fix .
They sent in Jackson to fix up the off field department followed by Roos to fix the on field.
Now with so much already invested in the Gold Coast , the AFL have had to act .
First Evans goes in to fix up the off field department and surely the new coach will follow ala the Melbourne blueprint .
Evans has history with Clarkson and the AFL will want this done right this time .
Clarkson has been at Hawthorn a long time , eventually all good things must come to an end and how long is too long .
With AFL backing , plenty of young talent , a brand new facility and a massive contract , Clarkson may see this as an attractive challenge and a lasting legacy in the development of the game in the North of Australia .

No no......what is actually happening is that the Hawthorn FC are going to buy the GC Suns outright, and use their academy and countless top draft picks as a feeder to Hawthorn.

I know AFL contracts are not worth the paper they are written on, but Clarko is contracted until the end of 2019.
As a matter of curiousity, was Ross Lyon out of contract when he did the dirty on the Saints.
He may see this, but he may also see the opportunity for a 5th (and subsequent) premiership at Hawthorn to be his legacy.
