Said a few years ago someone should take a look at the 2004 GF teams and see what the flow on effect coaches and assistants has been from Port Adelaide (Choco) and Brisbane (Lethal).
Off the top of my head for Port Adelaide: Head coaches Clarkson, Walsh, Bailey, Primus, Hardwick, Dew, assistant Chad Cornes, Brogan, Lade, J Carr, Montgomery, Schofield, Kingsley, Mahoney, Francou. Brisbane I don't know as well but would as a minimum have Voss, Leppitsch, McRae, B Scott, C Scott, plus assistants Lappin, Caracella Hart

Yes they met in the 2004 grand final but apart from that they were both super teams, even if Port has just the 1 flag from that era. Super teams often produce great legacies as there come about through the work of a whole lot of good people.

You can trace some of that Port lineage back to North in the 90's for instance and then forward to Hawthorn.

The real surprise when it comes to legacies is the dying days of Fitzroy still has imprints all over the league.

‘yes the Clarko pedigree goes back to chocko, it’s just Clarko seems to take the philosophy and make it work.

also look at the coaches (and media figures, administrators etc) out of the 83-85 rivalry. But only lethal and bomber being successful
