I'm with Tom Browne on this one. BT was being a bit of a d!ck. Boxing refs check gloves before a bout, it'd be no different to that, just on a larger scale (x 22)

Really tough issue, I’d like to thank Tom on behalf of all of us for tackling this issue and being brave enough to voice it when so many have stayed quiet.

Maybe we should only be able to abuse players on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as 3/7th of their income comes from gambling sponsorships. Then Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays we abuse them about the TV coverage as 3/7th of their income comes from tv rights. Then on Sundays we can abuse them about their fans, as 1/7th of the income comes from tickets and merch sales. Circular and tough issue, but agreeable compromise.
