A short story with a Bulldog connection
Last Saturday it was my sister’s (Marcia) turn to bet in our punting syndicate. Being a novice punter and a doggies fan she liked the name of an un-raced 2yo in the 1st race at Caulfield called “Classy Darcy”. Apparently it won easily and paid a generous $11.70 for a dollar. The envy of the entire male punters in the syndicate she has been christened “A r s y Marcy”. At training yesterday my father asked Luke Darcy if he had any connection with the horse, he said no and asked him why he didn’t put any money on it for him!
