But there's only one statue at Essendon - Michael Long, for his work on indigenous rights.

I had the honour of meeting Dick Reynolds when he was 61. It left a really profound impact on me. The way he spoke about life... the man oozed class. There's not a particular quote that I can remember... he was just such an inspirational character. I am not saying he was inspirational cause he won 3 Brownlows... I met Bob Skilton and Ian Stewart and they didn't have that affect on me. The impression he left me with was... push yourself to be the best person you can be. The best version of yourself. It wasn't about winning games or anything, it was more about how to carry yourself as a man, and he made me want to be a better man. If there were more people like that, and more statues of people like that, the world would be a better place.
