So, we clearly need a cleanout of the list. Too many players are living on past reputation.
Maxwell should give up the captaincy. He's getting past it now and has been for a while.
Lynch, Jolly and Hudson need to go as well. Questions should be asked of Nathan Brown and Steele Sidebottom. Can they perform under pressure in finals any more? Didak will probably leave as well.
Players like Seedsman, Elliott, Sinclair, Williams, Fasolo, Grundy, Thomas, Broomhead are all part of the future. There's no point in having them play second fiddle to players who are now past it.
We should seriously consider trading Heath Shaw. He's lost the plot. I'd be all for getting rid of him if we could somehow entice a young key back or forward to the club.
Positives for the season are Marley Williams and Jamie Elliott. They've both proven that they have what it takes to be a part of the club's next tilt at a flag. Especially Williams, who I've never been more pleased to be completely wrong about as a player.
