Cleanout Time

So, we clearly need a cleanout of the list. Too many players are living on past reputation.

Maxwell should give up the captaincy. He's getting past it now and has been for a while.

Lynch, Jolly and Hudson need to go as well. Questions should be asked of Nathan Brown and Steele Sidebottom. Can they perform under pressure in finals any more? Didak will probably leave as well.

Players like Seedsman, Elliott, Sinclair, Williams, Fasolo, Grundy, Thomas, Broomhead are all part of the future. There's no point in having them play second fiddle to players who are now past it.

We should seriously consider trading Heath Shaw. He's lost the plot. I'd be all for getting rid of him if we could somehow entice a young key back or forward to the club.

Positives for the season are Marley Williams and Jamie Elliott. They've both proven that they have what it takes to be a part of the club's next tilt at a flag. Especially Williams, who I've never been more pleased to be completely wrong about as a player.

Delist / retire: Lynch, Jolly, Maxwell, Shaw, Didak
Trade: Sidey, Brown

So you would just kick Heath Shaw out of the team without seeking some compensation? The rest of them shall retire and no way would we trade sidebottom and brown. Two key players for the future.

Those 3 are hopeless, didn't touch it today.

Not a huge clean out for mine. Some changes will take care of themselves like retirements, and we can perhaps make a deal for a senior player, but I still see a list that should be better, and that can have some natural improvement. The biggest problem i see are less tangible. Stuff like desire, training, coaching. Something is a amiss. Tonight's result will hopefully see a lot of soul searching that a win tonight may have papered over.

Jolly is finished at AFL level. He'd only be useful if he's willing to take a pay cut with the knowledge he'll only play if we have injuries. Hudson was always a one year project and Lynch was worth a punt but he's just not up to it any more.

He's a free agent.

Wouldn't be against trading Sidebottom if the price was right. Throw Goldstack up as well. Might not get much for him but you never know.

On behalf of opposition supporters who watch football, let me be the first to let you guys know that Heath Shaw's trade value is exceptionally low

I've been on the trade Sidey bandwagon for quite a while now. Problem is his currency is pretty low right now. Seems to have peaked two season agao, and is now heading backwards quite quickly.

The future of the ruck is Witts and Grundy. Time to get rid of Jolly, he has been fantastic for us, but time for him to retire.

Time for Maxy to also retire.

Problem
before you keep all the maybe/maybe not types, consider................

draft selection 1 & 2 might be up for grabs. what could we do with one, or BOTH of those.
Problem is, they won't come cheap. We lose an EF with a lack of quality and in order to get a high pick we need to trade out the quality that we do have? Can't see it myself. Unless we can con someone with 39,22 or 16 I don't think we can get it done.

Out: Lappin, Harvey, Hart, Buckley
In: Ayres, Ling, Voss, Burns, Craig, Longmire... ANYONE THAT CAN BLOODY COACH OR BE AN ASSISTANT WITHOUT BEING A REJECT FROM SOME OTHER CLUB OR A 'FAVOURITE SON'
Voss......?

Would take a can of coke for Heath.

Over rated player who makes at least 2 big **** ups a match.

We should go hard for balchambers

Get the hell out of the high altitude room and learn to kick

If been massive fan of maxwell but he is done unfortunately

Big question marks on Blair he's skills are terrible I love he's attack but he undoes all his good work by turning the ball over

We really lack pace and need that bad

We need to find away to free some room up in the cap
