Love all the movies but can't split Clerks and Mallrats.

J and SB Strike Back was the worst of them but still had some very funny scenes in it, especially when they finally got to Hollywood.

Definate a Kevin Smith fan.

Must admit I stopped watching Clerks about 20 minutes in the first time, but then thought I must sit down and give it a chance. Now it is one of my favorite films.

I bought the Dogma script from the US as it didn't have a release date here or there yet, and I was hanging out for it. $60.... now if that isn't dedication to the man, then I don't know what is.

Also got the Chasing Amy and Clerks script. Quite interesting how they've changed from being written to what's on the screen... for example in the Clerks script.... Dante gets shot in the end!

Can't find a poster of Mallrats anywhere. I'm guessing Kevin Smith burnt them all along with anything that he did for that movie. Heard it got trashed in the US. :(

X-Binny,

Is that from the Goonies?

Not a chance mate. J and SB had many funnier parts in it than Mallrats or Clerks, and was better all round!

kevin smith is currently filming his sixth movie, Jersey Girl, though it has nothing to do with the other movies. it's interesting to note about the scripts changing so much, that jsbsb was supposed to be about them saving the quickstop, which is probably why at the end of dogma it says "jay and silent bob will return in clerks 2: clerkin' around." as to which movie is the funniest, i'd have to say jsbsb, because that is what it was intended to be, a funny film. even though it had a weak storyline, the lines in this movie are probably the funniest out of the whole series. what the f*ck is the internet? is a classic, and then jay going to complain about the people bagging him on the net is a ****er.

I haven't seen any of Kevin Smith's films, but what's surprising about the response here is most think 'Mallrats' is his best film, when that got the most lukewarm response when first released.

yes, it got bagged when it first came out...

i've noticed on other boards, when discussion comes to ranking those 5 kevin smith films, the responses are varied...
