i recall after his debut game an article came out refering him as future captain material haha

Hartigan and Rodan are the stereotypical players who do well at junior level and can make an impact on day one at AFL level, but then have a lot less scope for improvement than other juniors and are quickly overtaken. Pretty easy to see why they go late in drafts.

Hartigan was demolishing the dogs that day he ripped his hamstring

Since then never looked like it. Dunno why but its very frustrating

15 touches in the first 20 mins of the first 1/4.

Hard as nails, decent skills, impressive dash from the backline.

Shame.

and last year against Carlton in round 4, he was looking great. I think he got injured then too. I honestly think he has something to add to our senior team. He and Jacko have been unluckily dropped a few times which would have hurt their confidence. No wonder why they have been not performing for coburg every week because they have been wondering what they have to do to cement a spot in the seniors. Terry has to leave jacko in the team for a few weeks.

I think some of your memories are a little hazy.

Hartigan is most likely the worst kick in our team.

Jackson is below average but passable.

If you are sick of Kane Johnson then give Hartigan 22 games and you'll be doing more than writing a letter to get him dropped.

He made a good last impression before injury but to say he's "worried about not getting a senior game" being the reason he's not performing at Coburg is pure guesswork. He gets the ball for Coburg, he takes marks on the lead and tackles hard. Then he kicks it :o

When Hartigan kicks a football the opposition's eyes light up and they start forming an attacking run off half back before he even drops the ball to his boot.

And this is at VFL level, the pressures and speed of AFL enhance the chance for error.

While he has something to offer, his skills are by far the last thing.
