Another feather in his cap. Whilst John Dorsey managed the draft, in that now lauded 2018 Browns draft, it was actually Scot McCloughan who Dorsey hired, who set the big board for Dorsey.

Scot M is an absolute beast of a talent evaluator. Has had a direct hand in establishing the Niners SB period, the Seahawks SB period, the Chiefs and now the Browns.

Mark Davis had the opportunity to hire him full time two years ago but wanted to retain McKenzie instead. What a numbskull.

The Cleveland Browns are reportedlyinterested in interviewing Condoleezza Rice for their head coaching vacancy this offseason.

Obviously, Twitter erupted over all the possibilities of a Rice-led Browns team.

When I first checked the score this morning 28-0, Browns in front.

What a wonderful day

Baker Mayfield really is good, along with Greg Williams and John Dorsey.

The only down side was later when I read American Crow's post in the weekly thread

"it's against a team with Hue Jackson coaching the defence"

Yeah so the victory might not signify much in those circumstances.

but who cares its another Browns win !

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Iowa State coach Matt Campbell could be a candidate for the Browns' head-coaching vacancy.

The Ohio native is an up-and-comer in the coaching world and is expected to draw interest from multiple NFL teams this offseason including the Browns, who fired Hue Jackson last month. Campbell put himself on the map by developing Kareem Hunt during his tenure at Toledo. Hunt was later drafted by John Dorsey, who now serves as the Browns' GM. Ex-Cardinals coach Bruce Arians, Vikings OC John DeFilippo, Packers coach Mike McCarthy, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels and Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley have also been mentioned as candidates to replace Jackson in Cleveland.

Haven't posted in a while. I've missed you guys.

Some thoughts on the season so far

- The national media finally catching on to the blame shifting, incompetent, image obsessed clown that Hue Jackson is, is a welcome development. 2 years too late though.

- Todd Haley should not be held blameless. He was awful at his job. Seems to be a sentiment that he sabotaged the offence to try and take Hues job. If that's the case that is dispicable. If that's not the case then he's bad at his job. Either way I'm thrilled he's no longer a brown.

- Baker is who we thought he was. Well except for a few posters on this forum.

- "Take a running back at 1 and take whichever QB is leftover." Lol. Seemingly well adjusted people actually had this opinion.

- Chubb is almost back to pre-injury Chubb. He's a stud. Better in the passing game than I anticipated.

- Denzel has been out of this world. Almost gets forgotten about because of Baker. Unbelievably sticky. Great instincts and closing speed. Plays above his weight. Did get burned pretty badly by Ross last game, but that's 4.22 speed.

- Ogunjobi is a stud. To get that much disruption as a nose tackle is hard to do.

- Joe Schobert has become one of the best Mike linebackers in the league. I know he made the pro bowl last year but I didn't think he was that great. Thought he mainly got in on his high tackle numbers. This year he has been great in coverage and improved his instincts. Stud.

- Getting Randall for a used condom was a terrific piece of business. He was great before he handed the ball to the bald fraud. Now I want to build him a statue. The defence is so much better with him on the field.

- Randall has also freed up Peppers to play his natural position, and he's turned into a good starter. Didn't like him coming out but he's won me over.

- Chad Thomas still sucks.

- Juice Landry is ridiculously overpaid.

- Tyrod was a waste of 16 million and a third round pick.

- Still not sold on either tackle. Hubbard has gone from diabolical to average. Which in today's NFL is all you can expect. Kitchens and Mayfield have done well to protect Robinson, and to his credit he's exceeded expectaions. I still want to draft a tackle early, but it's not looking like the gaping hole it did 3 weeks ago.

- Njoku will be a star in this league.

- Don't fall in love with Kitchens and Williams' competence. It's easy to because of the utter dumpster fire that came before them, but there are better options out there.

American Crow - when are you going to watch the Browns again ?

I could have made a fortune this weekend, I don't want to miss out next time.

Playoff game of course ;)

Just joking mate....must say the kid has been a pleasant surprise the last 3 weeks. Now let's see how he does on Sunday against a legit defense.

With this organization EVERY win is precious. Every last W

Yeah - will be going the standard t-shirts with customised names on the back available.

Got myself a pretty smooth baseball cap separate to the NFL store though - go the Browns!

Buy it now and when Mayfield and the Browns win their first superbowl you will be able to wear it to show you were one of the first ones on the bandwagon.

Browns to show up the Panthers this week.

Baker Mayfield is a different quarterback since Hue Jackson was fired

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield was struggling through his rookie season until head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley were fired. Since then, Mayfield hasn’t struggled a bit.

Mayfield is one of the best quarterbacks in football in the five games since Gregg Williams took over as head coach and Freddie Kitchens took over as offensive coordinator, something no one would have called Mayfield when he was playing in the Jackson/Haley offense.

With Jackson and Haley running the offense, Mayfield completed 58.3 percent of his passes, averaged 6.6 yards per pass, had eight touchdowns and six interceptions, had a 78.9 passer rating and was sacked 20 times. Since Jackson and Haley were fired, Mayfield has completed 73.2 percent of his passes, averaged 9.2 yards per pass, thrown 11 touchdown passes and four interceptions, has a 114.5 passer rating, and has been sacked three times.

It’s hard to look at those stats and come to any conclusion other than Jackson and Haley were holding back Mayfield’s development.

But the most important statistic is this one: In 40 games with Jackson as their head coach, the Browns had three wins. In five games since firing Jackson, the Browns have three wins.

You don't want to start this my friend. I've got too much ammunition saved on your Myles Garrett and Baker Mayfield takes.

Njoku is producing at a terrific rate for a 22 year old tight end, I think drops will always be an issue but man you see the talent every week. To put it in context how unusual it is for a tight end of his age to be contributing as much as he is, Travis Kelce (a player that many people comped to Njoku) was 3 years older than David is now when he first caught an NFL pass. He's only very early in his football timeline, I'd suggest trying to enjoy this kids progression.

I'll eat it on Freddie Kitchens. He's been outstanding. I thought it may have been a mirage but he has pleasantly surprised me.
