Climate Change Arguing

No. Can you not answer the question?

I know where you are getting at with this but your arguement is fatally flawed. The atmosphere of Venus is MAJORITY CO2. CO2 on Earth has a much, much smaller percentage and would never become a majority unless our oceans disappeared, which would fly in the face of climate change propaganda telling us that are oceans are going to swallow us up.

Lol, you seem to know more than lifelong climate scientists! I would prefer to get my info from them rather than the fake news propaganda right wing fantasy 'news' sources. What's your science background there champ?

I don't think you understand basic science from reading your recent posts.

Based on reading your posts in this thread i can only ascertain that you are a complete peanut with a massive far left agenda.

Don't bother quoting me any further.

Is my post about comparing Venus and Earth's atmospheres factually incorrect?

What the hell does basic science have to do with politics? Nothing! You're in the wrong forum, you need the conspiracy theories forum.

I don't care what truth mixed with mistruths you come up with. You're not a scientist so your theories count for zero. Why don't you get that?

Ok everyone. Unless you are a climate scientist, please refrain from posting anything in this thread. This includes you too i'm guessing Socrates2

I quote the peer-reviewed science and so should you unless you think it's a mass conspiracy !

"Expert consensus is a powerful thing. People know we don’t have the time or capacity to learn about everything, and so we frequently defer to the conclusions of experts. It’s why we visit doctors when we’re ill. The same is true of climate change: most people defer to the expert consensus of climate scientists. Crucially, as we note in our paper:

Public perception of the scientific consensus has been found to be a gateway belief, affecting other climate beliefs and attitudes including policy support.

That’s why those who oppose taking action to curb climate change have engaged in a misinformation campaign to deny the existence of the expert consensus. They’ve been largely successful, as the public badly underestimate the expert consensus, in what we call the “consensus gap.” Only 16% of Americans realize that the consensus is above 90%."

Oh dear, the chart has already been shown to be very misleading so many times in this thread yet you still continue to post it as fact! Even after some of those scientists that supposedly represent the 97% have said they were misrepresented.

And you want to have a go at me for what i have posted on here.... sheeesh!

Rubbish mate, the climate deniers are all either ignorant contrarians , haters of science or in the coal industry. It's game over mate, you can't argue with science but most of you do. If you don't trust scientists you shouldn't live in the modern world as most things in your house and medicine cabinet come from science. You can't have it both ways.

Hahahahaha. Gee whiz!

That’s why they changed the wording to climate change; some people just couldn’t understand global warming because it was cool that day.
It does feel like the earliest I've ever (albeit very briefly) put the air con on a few days ago and I'm dusting off a fan to bring inside today. Usually this happens late September or into October.

You think you can say 'it's been disproved' with no evidence, and expect people to believe it? I would wager that you do believe the data but you have an unhealthy obsession with bagging non-right wing extremist views, because you hate those people because they want to put a third toilet in a high school.

science doesnt work on concensus hence the gallileo situation.

also an analysis of why the thibg you posted is wrong

Mate all you've said is 'disproven', 'ha ha ha' and 'ha ha it gets better'. It's too much of a stretch for me to believe your blistering intellectual research ahead of climate scientists. Can you at least admit you don't know more than a climate scientist because we're getting into Malcom Roberts territory here!

It's been done on here already. Oh, there it is again! Thanks TimmeT

But you'll just ignore this yet again, won't you Socrates2
So that one dodgy guy says 81% and you're claiming this proves climate change isn't real? 80% is still concensus champ even if that article is an stitch up. Funny how you can find one article and you claim that debunks the other 20,000 articles. You and Timmy look ridiculous mate. Why don't you organize a protest with 'only 80% of climate scientists say climate change is an imminent threat ' placards. You would look quite silly if you did that! Talk about clutching at straws my confused friend!

I'm not suggesting 1 article fits all. There are several scientists that say they have been misrepresented here. And if that's the case, surely you have to ask the question why?

Besides, scientific concensus doesn't mean as much as you think it does. There have been many cases of concensus in the past for scientific theories that have proven to be wrong. On the other hand there have been scientists that have been shut down for their theories, yet decades later have proven to be correct.

Science is not infallible. Never has been. Given that science today is heavily funded by groups on both sides of the arguement with their own vested interests, i think this is a real concern. Added to that is that what we hear is often determined by who controls the media.

In the past, science was mostly about science. Today, science is about $.

I think we as a community deserve better

You are smart enough to realise that the consensus view isn’t science. Or are you? Analysis and discussion is required and any findings should be questioned if the science isn’t settled.

The science is settled why would you say it's not? What universe are you living in? Fantasy ,conspiracy world of whack job climate change deniers? History will judge the deniers very harshly . There's overwhelming consensus no matter where you look, why do you hope and pretend there is not?

Dr Peter Ridd disagrees with you and there is plenty more scientists who are too scared to risk their careers and stick their necks out and do the same. Big things coming next year on the climate change myth. Not to mention that Trump knows it’s a scam.
