Greta lovers you can't criticise her cause she's a child.

Actually I'm a "Greta lover" and I say you're more than welcome to criticise her.

But I don't see a lot of genuine critical analysis of her message going on at all.

I just see a whooooole lot of character assassination.

Unsurprising, because her opponents know they don't have a leg to stand on.

Because the fact is, she's only saying what the adult scientists are saying, and she's put the deniers in such a spin because they're not accustomed to a child speaking with that sort of confidence. My god are they in a panic now.

I think the bigger issue is that politicians are relying on an ignorant child to push their cause.

Im sure she is fully aware of the geopolitical issues as well as the complexities of the science.

She certainly should be speaking publicly about it and be listened to.

Ever since Tony Abbott blamed the Canberra bubble and a febrile press for his departure, Turnbull for the most part excepted, that has become the standard go to response for PMs deflecting from issues they don't wish to talk about. Morrison's speech to the UN was more of same and if anyone had got up and said what Morrison said I'd have laughed in their face too.
