Heres the thing, as things get worse and worse due to climate change, regulations around the world will get harsher and harsher.

Eventually nations not complying will be cut off from trade.

Do we,

A) wait for china and then have to convert everything in a few short years whilst being locked out of markets

Or

B) see a massive opportunity to become the preferred market with green everything available because we have literalky fuqtonnes of land to lend to renewable production.

Solar aint going to do it all, green hydrogen will Need to take up a large part of it, with some vision we could be the Saudi arabia of the next wave of energy.

Small minds sit there wailing about others not being fast enough.

I'm not anti renewables, I'm anti the half truths used to pump up the anxiety. Had solar long before any government gave me an incentive, cos it made sense.
I have no doubt the ratbags in EU/EC will apply trade bans to try & big note their power, but given their failure over Ukraine & backing off car emissions
(Italy seeks alliance with France and Germany to tame EU car emissions laws ), I'd prefer we stood up to the bullies that cant solve their own border squabbles.

What half truths might they be?

So you're fine with all the outright lies over many decades from the fossil fuel industry and their supportive right wing media commentators, but demand that half truths be eradicated from social media?

What half truths might they be?
It means that living in our society has to involve perpetuating negative things sometimes, but that doesn't contradict the desire of people to reduce those negative things going forward. It also doesn't make people smart or insightful to point out that both those things are happening.

I suppose the question is, do we want nature to do it sooner or later? Answer seems obvious to me.

So everyone else should just give up?

Humans are like a piece of dandruff in the whole scheme of things, it's all about that big yellow ball in the sky that controls everything. About 1.3 million Earths could fit inside the sun, then there is us! We are too insignificant. Human beings have made great achievements as a species, considering we really have only occupied the planet for a short time and we're not going to last forever, I don't understand why we continue to make things more difficult for ourselves. Nature will swallow us all up and spit us all out eventually.
Actually we're more like a virus, slowly but surely and increasing in speed killing the host. The planet.

Insignificant not.

The reason we keep making it more difficult for ourselves is because we disagree on many aspects of our existence.

If everyone bought in on the abundance of good ideas to save the host and ultimately ourselves, then we'd accomplish it easily. But nah, it's in our nature to compete against our own kind. ☹

There are too many of us. And increasing.

Thanks to the rain, Aus crops are setting records. Feeding the hungry is a worthy cause.
Meanwhile Pakistan about to collapse due to flooding

I guess we take the good with the bad when it's only people from another country suffering 🙄

Lobby for more aid. I know they aren't the enemy du jour but you can guarantee the Islamic fundies are doing hearts and minds projects over there.
With all due respect, people are being sent to wall here due to cost of living and associated idiocy from our government. Id prefer our aid help Australians first than get sent off shore for every single major event we have nothing to do with

Good to see we both agree first nations should be getting a lot more funding
