Everyone is to focused on the negatives of sunday. I went along to the game on sunday and it wasn't all negative from the fatboy's point of view.

Clinton Young - played his best game in brown and gold, slips under the radar a bit. Best attribute without a shadow of a doubt are his footskills being able to hit targets and kick over the lines. Geelongs smalls will test him.

Grant Birchall - Just seems to read the play really well and really composed even under pressure (unlike Thomas who had 6 clangers before 3 quarter time, but will be a good footballer, well as far as unaccountable germs go anyway). I reckon Birch could be the steal of the draft.

Luke Hodge - Best game of the year so far.

Ben Dixon - Backed up last week, solid hands.

All round pressure of the side was good untill they were blown away by great individual performance. Jacobs, Dawson and Smith had a day to forget.

For collingwood maxwell and swan have come along a fair bit and Tarrant still under achieving. Harry O'brien is hopeless in a one on one.

I have had great wraps on Clinton since his debut in the seventh last round against North last season. He has never missed selection since. Clarko likes the kid.

I have picked up on his exceptional natural talent. I like his ability to find the ball by deft anticipation, when he takes possession there is, so early in his career, a strong semblance of an excitement machine, having that dash and ability to baulk an oncoming opponent on both sides of his body and deliver the ball accurately to a forward on the lead.

Some of his snap goals have been great, he knows where the big sticks are when under pressure.

He doesn't look like he's ever going to be a consistent 30 possesies a game type player, but he certainly looks like he could be a guy who gets it 15 times to great effect with his long kicking, and hard running.

Another year in the weights and he'll be a bit more ready to impact games more, but his long kicking is still a standout, and seems to be a good prospect for a wing option we haven't really had for a while (Lonie didn't count).
