Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
So did he say is happening or Guessing?
Let me preface this by saying I expect that you're right and we will pick up Young, but you have to be careful because this is how so many rumours get shot to bits. What about a more important man than those 3? Young himself...I don't usually come out with rumours I hear unless I know for sure, trust me on this one, he is 100% a Pie.

A moment ago you said "a source close to Clinton" and now you're saying "Young himself". I suspect you're wrong on one of these statements. Which one? Unless you've spoken to Clinton Young personally and he's indicated he's moving to Collingwood, you can't say "Young himself" is your source.

A source close to Clinton tells me he has been forced out of Hawthorn, really wanted to stay there. Will 100% be signing on with Collingwood, not sure when it'll be announced but confident today.
Will be a great addition to our midfield! Absolutely stoked with this.
Is it just me or are Young and Roberton very similar players?
Maybe it's a weakness that Bucks has identified and really wants to fill in, and with the loss of Leon last year, and with BJ only having one year left, we may be trying to fill that attacking half back void in one go.
If all it costs us is a third round pick (for Roberton) and some cash (for Young) it will be a decent coup indeed.
Herald Sun reporting that Gilham and Murphy may be forced out of Hawthorn.
Can't read full article to see if Young mentioned as I refuse to pay online subscription.........lol
Look if we pull this off then I think you can quickly argue that we have been a major winner out of FA / Trade.
To collect Lynch, Young and 2 first round selections for Dawes and Wellingham would be a monumental effort. I suspect they will have also saved a few Rupees in the Salary Cap as well for 2012/13 and beyond.
Somwhere in all this am still worried about the ruck but a lot of that depends on whether they think Witts can play next year. I suspect they think he can but you woudl have to think a Pederson, Giles or Martin might get done late in the piece for a draft pick. I think Hine is potentially saying we will use the 3 round 1 selections and maybe the 2nd round and we will be done.
Dave, re-read my post.
I'm getting excited about C.Y, he looks eager all around the ground.Well it looks more then Likely this will Happen.
But I get what you are saying Snoop about the Rucks. Though we might be Hoping that Witts and Ceglar can get some gametime next season

Roberton cannot be that good if he is only worth a third round pick. It's hardly what you'd call a recruiting coup!Is it just me or are Young and Roberton very similar players?

No thx to Roberton.
And Dave since Derek's related to him.
That could explain why he gets so anxious over every rumoured trade.Thought it was his alter ego?

The problem with Young is that he's a classic home and away footballer, who looks great for 22 weeks of the season, but when the pressure and intensity lifts in the finals he falls away and is found out.
Roberton has all but walked out on Freo, and would be the type of player that would enter the draft quite willingly and end up at GWS or the Suns, so Freo may have to take what they can get for him.Roberton cannot be that good if he is only worth a third round pick. I did and I don't quite Get it
At least you are honest.
They were just telling the listeners about a rumour they heard, but they didn't realise that Young is an unrestricted free agent. So...they don't really know what is going on as he won't be leaving Hawthorn via a trade. Is that clearer?
@TradeDraft rumours coming out that Young could sign by this afternoon.
That's a fallacy, played a half and kicked a couple good goals but shanked it more often than he hit targets. A bit like suckling, soft with overated kickingWas close to BOG in 08 GF.
Damn, he sounds like a Simon Buckley! That's a fallacy, played a half and kicked a couple good goals but shanked it more often than he hit targets. A bit like suckling, soft with overated kicking

Yeah, 19 touches, 8 marks & a goal in under a half of footy in the grand final is pretty shabby.![]()
