seems like everyone in here is very time poor![]()
He could be moulded into a tagger with his endurance attributes. You can't have all stars in a salary capped competition, got to have role players too.
Direct from the "He's not ours anymore board of mental health"Hey guys hope you don't mind the intrusion. Just thought I'd give you my thoughts on Young.
Back in 2008, he was a pretty important player. His long kicks were great and he was damaging on occasions. After that, the game plan changed from long kicks to short, precise possession football. Young struggled. Now we've gone back to the longer kicks and somehow, he's back in the side.
In terms of footskills, I actually think he's incredibly overrated. He can kick a long ball, sure, but ask him to hit a target and he won't do it. As a side note, his goal-kicking isn't that great. Again, get him on the run from outside 60 and he's a 50% chance, but the media talk him up as a dead eye from that range and it simply isn't true.
He's not a great mark, literally doesn't know how to lay a tackle, and quite honestly is a pea-heart.
I've been against playing him all year, but when I heard about Brisbane, Melbourne and now you guys being interested, I was jumping for joy. Best of luck with him.

The following GIF accurately reflects how I'm feeling waiting for an announcement on Young...

Don't bother its immaterial anyway, its not about how he works in other systems but his potential in our system. Leroy was supposedly a washed up hack before Butters et al got their hands on him.Not at all, if you want I can dig up some quotes from a rival forum from earlier in the year?

It'll be a rude shock to BEEG who seems to follow the mantra that no-one will leave Collingwood. But yes, in the bigger sceme of things, it's not.
Don't worry, with a forward spine of Fev/ Pedersen, you'll be fine.
Catch a movie while you are down there.Well I am going to the Shops Shortly and Might be done when I come Back
Teach him to hit a target, tackle, run defensively, not fall over shadows and you'll have a decent AFL player.
Confirm his value and not squeeze him out for a big name contract and it will go a long way to fuelling his self respect.Teach him to hit a target, tackle, run defensively, not fall over shadows and you'll have a decent AFL player.
