You've pulled the wrong reign on this one. 2011 (so just last year) he was AA.

If he performs at the same level next year that he did in 2012 then he's Buckley's of getting an upgraded deal, but for the time being he does deserve some benefit of the doubt.

Dave,

To pass the time I think you should write a post that has all of Clinton Youngs positives in one column and all Clinton Youngs negatives in one column. This will at least allow us to see Young for what he really is and enable us to be comfortable in the fact that he aint worth worrying about. I suspect that Hine has asked Young to do exactly this and he's been stuck on column A for 4 days now!

Indeed it would be. That's my point.
Much like people wanted Clokey gone because he hadn't signed and his 'body language was poor', much like people are glad Dawesy is gone because he was out of form this year applying that logic Daisy should be on the table.
It's crazy to trade anyone that makes our list better, as Dawes does, or Clokey does because it's about the here and now.

Cloke and Daisy are in our top 5 players.

Dawes was expendible and the coaching/list management staff agreed.

Neither Cloke or Daisy would ever be on the table.

Daisy wasn't our top 5 players this year, next year either if he doesn't lift his game. But that's not the point, Dawes will be a better player than pick 20 will be next year and he'd be a better option on the list than half a dozen others I can think of, whether the coaching staff think so or not. He wasn't expendable when they offered him a 3 year contract a while ago.
