If we have to choose between Cloke on $1 million for five years and Boak, then it's the latter for me. We need another class mid with Judd and Simpson 29. I wouldn't go higher than 850 K for Cloke on a five year deal.

Of course I have no idea on how Tippett is but there are plenty of players that have had multiple concussions during the year (Selwood always gets a few) and are fine. Further to that, the rumors have it we're offering him ~600k on a 5 year contract, if it was so serious then I don't think such an offer of that length would be on the table (again, that offer is only a rumor also).

I think Tippett/Any forward who can crash a pack like he can would be fantastic for Carlton as he'd create plenty of opportunities for your smaller guys like Garlett and Betts. According to Roo, Tippett wants to go to Gold Coast over Brisbane and he said money isn't such an issue (of course he'd want a decent paycheck but it sounds like he'd be willing to settle with a little less if he was playing for GC).

Personally I think that he is a class player in a borked team. Put him into an environment where his talents are complemented by those around him and he will shine.

True, but a concussion to an Adelaide player is more serious as they already have a lower mental capaicty, it just comes from living there.

i think what the mullet actually does (through my years of engineering) it creates "dirty air" which inturn disorientates any human that happens to be behind him for approximately 40 meters (+- 5m its a rubbery science) so in therory all someone with a mullet would have to do is spin around like a fairy and he would gain a considerate competitive advantage over the rest of the playing field

Being over rated does not necessarily mean he is a dud. I tend to think he is overated too but i think Geelong are chasing him because Boak has expressed interest to come back home to Geelong plus the fact their midfield is an ageing one so their obviously looking to top that back up with some younger talent

Plus they have the compo pick from Little Gazza to get it done. All the cards are with Geelong here. He won't be going anywhere else.

Cloke on the other hand... definitely enough smoke for a bit of fire there. Do we want him? Obviously this board is split and both sides have good arguments. But it aint up to us and logic tells me that the club would be doing all they could to get him to sign. Apart from the salary we get him for nothing. Nada. Zilch. Gratis. Think what Judd cost us in terms of trade. The cost was huge and is why we need someone like Cloke. That we could get him without losing any pick at all is an incredible situation and we would be crazy not to have a crack. Whether we can afford the salary is for the bean counters at the club. Thumbs up from them and its go go go get him I reckon.

Cloke without a doubt. He won't cost us a draft pick and is the better of the two players. IMO there's just as much chance if not more that none of Rowe, Cas or Mitchell will make it at AFL level then that they will. If any of the three do they and cloke could play a second ruck role for us seeming we will want kruze in there for 80% plus of game time. Also if we get a cloke we can use our draft picks on midfielders to replace carrots, judd, Scotland and Simpson rather then searching for a KPF
