M i missing something here, where and when has it said that cloke will b leaving carlton or not happy at carlton,and yes i have been living under a rock

that suggests Cloke is leaving to make room for Maguire, and we have trained for a week now, I assume he was at training or you would think the article would have made mention of it as a possibility.

I think there is nothing in this one. Cloke has one more year to prove he can play.

I think Maguire will end up on our mature age rookie list and be our nominated rookie next season. Not a bad outcome if this happens, for all those that were not so keen on Bentley or Pfeiffer as rookies you could hardly complain about Goose, not much of a gamble or at least not much downside and a possible good upside.

Edit, pointed out that players in Bullants GF team get extra 2 weeks off before training so Cloke would not have started training yet. What this means is the reporter would have no idea that Clokes absence from training meant anything, nor do we.
 
It doesn't suggest Cloke once? There are players that deserve the axe before big Cam does. And there's not really much point in delisting him and putting him back on the rookie list when we can just put maguire on as a mature aged rookie..
 
The rumour that Cloke may leave and go to Port has been going around for a few weeks now.
One sticking point is that Port only have 3 places on their list and with 3 picks in the top 20 they will not waste one on Cloke.
So, it Port do not delist another player there is no way Cloke will be going to Port.

Actually a little disappointed now that it's all official.

Had the size, strength, agro (at times), a great contested mark (at times) a booming kick and neat skills for a big guy...not far off being a very good footballer, just mobility let him down. If he played in the old man's era could well have been a superstar.

I hope this meand PA have commited to him and all the best Cam:thumbsu:

I agree. The last thing we needed to do was lose was a goal scorer. Without so much of the ball going to Fev, I think he would have become a more than handy forward for us. We will never know now.

no key board hero here, yes i have never played afl standard footy, but Cloke was SH!T. He was a waste of space and a bad prune in what we are wanting to achieve. Im glad he is gone. Much rather persist with Fisher, who will give you a better attitude on the field and be a better example to the kids.

Cloke had his chance, and couldn't step it up...

He was mediocre.
 
Excellent decsion by the club. It is a statement of where our list is going and who is going to take us there......we have a good leaderhsip group.....the development of youth has improved (albeit assisted by having 3 gems in Gibbs, Murph and Kroooze), and we have chosen to back the recruiters in for another spot on youth before the compromised drafts (whilst clubs like the Pies take Jolly and Ball with their first two picks). Even in the absence of Fev, Cloke was still redundancy at best.......who knows, we might luck a 100 gamer at 59.

He wore the jumper, kicked goals, tried hard. Considering he's just been delisted you'd think you could reflect and find something positive.
