Club condemns Adelaide Crows player for allegedly sharing an image of a woman without permission

That doesn't mean the AFL wouldn't take drastic action against him.
The media would have mentioned it if it was a nude picture, which they haven't.
You can almost guarantee that it wasn't a nude otherwise it would have come down harder on him in today's landscape.
It’s nude or sexual otherwise there’s no police report or story.

She wants privacy and for it to go away. That’s why there’s no charges, no further investigation from the afl or club, and why it’s barely getting any traction in the media.

Firstly, there has been nothing in the media of its being sexual, and there absolutely would have been if that was the case.

Neither the club nor the AFL took any action against the player other than counselling him.
If you think in today's age if a player did that he wouldn't be sanctioned you are kidding yourself. Look what the GWS players copped for doing nothing illegal, yet if a player did send nudes without the woman's permission it can face up to two years in jail.

Secondly, the Crows went to the police about it, not the woman. Our club loves to dob anyone in for anything. They would have just been making 100% sure they did everything possible to cover their necks.
Under the law you can be prosecuted if the photo is in a bikini, lingerie, and infact if they are fully clothed, it can still be illegal if its judged to breach someone's privacy, if its considered bulling, or harassment. The Crows would have made sure their hands were clean of everything.

Imagine if this happened, and the club new a player forwarded a photo of a girl in a bikini to his mate, and they didn't go to the police to make sure it didn't breach any laws, and someone like Caro got hold of it.

Are you genuinely suggesting that this is the case of someone sharing a photo of a person in a bikini?

Dunno, I reckon you might be expecting the AFL to have some kind of consistency between the sanctions they hand out and the punishment under the law. Which is... logical of course, but also nothing close to reality.

Cos you know, the punishment under the law should scale with severity of the harm done, whereas punishment under the AFL scales with how much the media is jumping up and down about any given thing.

As distasteful as the underlying conduct is it's pleasing that the Club has learned how to manage these things in-house without unnecessarily shooting itself in the foot or creating an ungainly public spectacle.

Balme effect?
Aw man, we could have pre-emptively fined ourselves.

The police did not pursue the matter further at the request of the victim. That is entirely different to if they investigated the incident and decided there was no wrongdoing.

The incident with the GWS players is in no way comparable or relevant to this.

Ooooooooooh. Titillating!

Please, anyone know what was said between the two young males who thought they were having a private conversation, about a female?

Because I reckon this would be the first time any young blokes would ever do anything like this. Sexual, complimentary or disparaging. Don't reckon young guys or old guys for that matter have ever had a private convo involving anything like that.

Do you support inappropriate conduct towards women then? I'm glad my club has publicly condemned these actions.
I dont know what was said, but I doubt it was anything more than "gee wouldn't that girl be a great ****" or something like that.

Bit vulgar yes, bit dumb to say it with a mic attached.... but really ?? Are we going to get hung up about everything that's said in a private conversation

You are making the mistake of thinking "pursue the matter further" means proceed to prosecute.
SAPOL investigate everything that comes their way.
Even if there was no nudity, and there was a matter brought before them by the biggest AFL club in the state, they would speak to all parties, as it could be harassment, stalking, whatever.
