Club membership and Crows priorities

Inside Football reports that the Crows are building replica townhouses for Ayres and Reid, at the same time as the wealthiest team in the AFL and best supported team in the state is saying they can't afford to build a social club for members. Yea, sure guys. 12 million a year for 10 years now....
No wonder they can't sign people up.

That story was denied in the Advertiser by John Reid, and he has stated that both he and Ayres are paying for the townhouses themselves. Skasey do you always give so much credibility to a story written by Andrew Jarman?? If so then why no mention of the $200-00 fines placed on players who "break wind" in the changerooms?

Also the crows don't have too many problems signing people up, be it for memberships or seasons tickets.
If they are the wealthiest side in the AFL, as you say, the money has gotta be coming from somewhere.

Yes, Reid's denial was very strong - touched a raw nerve I'd say. If Ayres and Reid are paying out there own cash for identical pads, I say, that's taking male bonding just a little too far. Who gets to choose the curtains?
As for the Crows and membership, if , as it has often been spouted here, the Crows have 3 to 4 times the support of Port, why do they have a just miserable 5% more members?

I'm new here to SA and Aussie Rules Football too. I;m interested in finding out who owns the AFL licences for the Adelaide FC and the Port Adelaide Power FC and where do the profits go to from those clubs.

New to SA - PM has already answered this. The licenses are owned and controlled by the SANFL , the Crows and Port return 80% of profit, this is distributed to the SANFL clubs. The Crows license is paid off, so the profits of the Crows are HUGE, so HUGE in fact that one wonders why their supporters have to put up with the shed. But I guess it's better than the hot dog stand they had a couple of years ago.

No Tommy, I thought the report about Crows being fined for farting was a total fabrication. However treating their members second best is a Crows tradition, one of the few they have, and it's one they intend to stick by, so this bit does not surprise me at all. Perhaps you have another explanation for the identical love shacks?

Are you are Crows member? - if you're not, then shut the **** up. You had bugger all to do with any of the Crows success, you're just another bandwagon jumper, and they've got more than they can handle.

If you are a Crows member, then you should be directing what intelligence you possess (?) to the question of why the so called richest club still has no clubroom for its supporters, while it can afford to spend $1.6 million on townhouses.

And as for living in the past, I'll leave that to you crowsboy and all your other mates who want to forget the fate of the worst perfoming AFL premiers in history - 13th wasn't it? LOL

Port Adelaide Football Club care enough about me and other members to ensure that even before AFL entry, the clubrooms were the best in the State, if not the nation. That’s why they sign up a far greater percentage of supporters than do the Crows. Meanwhile, Monk, you can hop off back to your tin shed, since you like it so much.
