Gotta agree with your top 3, my faves also, (apart from ours of course!)Richmond, Sydney, North Melbourne, GWS (!, but I think they did it well) in any order.
St. Kilda's reeks of laziness.
My favourites are most of the older club songs (as sung by the Fable Singers). As a Hawthorn man, that's how a club song should sound in my view. Richmond, Hawthorn, North, Melbourne, Sydney, Collingwood and Geelong all have absolute pearlers, as much as I don't like hearing some of them at times.
I'm not the biggest fan of Carlton's song though, but then again I do hate everything to do with Carlton. St. Kilda's reeks of laziness. Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs have done a great job when it comes to butchering a couple of classics.
Out of the expansion teams, Adelaide and GWS have succeeded in creating songs which you can be proud to sing along to after a win. Port Adelaide's sounds a bit like something they'd blast through a lo-fi stereo during a primary school dance class.
However, the worst club songs would have to come from WA. Everybody seems to complain about the Freo song, but just like how Damien Drum wasn't the worst coach in WA at the time (thanks to Ken Judge), the Fremantle song isn't the worst in WA, thanks to 'HEY HEY EAGLES'.
Just read my signature.
By the way posters so far are underrating the GWS song. I think everything about our club is just thrown in the wastebasket just because people see GWS and automatically assume it's crap. That, along with all the resentment just about every other supporter has for GWS.
