never been to eve bar, i dont go to pretentious places like that, would much rather a good pub or bar, if i go clubbing it would be at crown, pretty good setup they have there and its a decent crowd.

Seems to be the general consensus among the people I hang with.
 
Eve Bar is good, has its mixed crouds but I have never had a bad time there, only went on a thursday night though.
Generally go to Wah Wah Lounge, Tramp Bar, CQ, La Di Da, and other places in the city which plays good electro music and stuff.

Absolutely love bars and pubs though, the general vibe when you go to a good one cannot be matched by any club imo.

Hip-E Club used to be awesome, back when they played genuine 60s/70s music and before all the bogans infiltrated it.

It was probably the coolest club in Perth back then, the queues on a Friday or Saturday night used to stretch around the carpark and it would take hours to get in if you got there late. Luckily one of my old flatmates knew some of the bouncers there and we were able to jump the queue most nights we went there.

Haven't been there for a while though. The last time I went there it had completely changed, just full of bogans and the normal shit nightclub music.
 
Dog n Duck is pretty shit but its easy to pick up and I always see people I know there. Full of underages though. I've going to PJ's lately and the Stag lately, Pj's is full of cougz but have been unsuccessful thus far. Normally go there or the Havvy on a Thurs before heading to Apple, Marble Bar or the Duke. Pissed off that the Unibar is closed over holidays, thats my favourite place to drink.

Gold Coast is 100% bogan so I prefer going to the pub where its atleast bogans dressed as bogans being bogans rather than bogans pretending to be anything other than bogans.

True...I've only been there a couple of times and each time has been good...went during the Grand Prix weekend on the Saturday...was quality.

At the bay: The Holdfast or the Dublin. Both decent. The grand attracts too many w***ers.

In the city: I'd rate the elephant as the best, or PJ's. Havvie goes alright too, but I've only ever been there during the day for afternoon drinks.

Yeah Dublin is pretty good. I can't stand the Grand either.

I also enjoy the Elephant with the live music. I haven't been to PJ's for age. Never been to Havvie.

Love clubbing, love the music, the atmosphere, completely losing your shit, its brilliant.

Bars and Pubs are good, but it depends really on who you're with, whether they're your good mates and whether you're feeling it.

Clubs are always a good night, just need a lot of piss and an intention of having a good time.

Thats why I like the elephant- good bands.

A mate of mine works at the Dublin. As Lards said, PJ's is good for cougar hunting. Havvie is nice, unless you are Nathan Bock's girlfriend.

I've enjoyed a few nights at the Grand but yeah- plenty of w***ers and the bouncers tend to kick you out for smallest things.

As I said, I never even got into reds. Too much of a line out front so got sick of waiting. Plenty of other places to check out around the joint.
 
I'd say it's been pretty much exactly six years and 8 months, give or take a few days.

I don't fancy getting shot in a nightclub, so I avoid them. It doesn't help that I live in the boondocks of a city with the worst public transport in the world. Makes Adelaide look a mecca of connectivity.
 
havvy its good, full of rich kids though. most of my mates from the private schools go there every thurday. also the scene where bock went nuts against his gf.

EDit: just saw Gus also refer to the Bock incident haha, I don't think either of them will be at the Havvy anyway for the next 4 years.

pubs

I love north adelaide so i like the Oxford, Cambridge, Caledonian and the Cathedral. In the East theres the Alma, Maid n Magpie and the Oriental. In the city I like the Elephant, Pj's, Exeter and the Austral which are all on Rundle st apart from PJ's which is on East Terrace. The metro is alright went there for the first time a fortnight ago and also the Ed Castle.
