Clubs complaining over no game

Apples and oranges.

The essence of the complaint is this:

Teams debuting this week, are coming off no meaningful games, and they now play their entire season block, with one bye.

The teams that played last weekend, have THEIR entire season block, with TWO byes. That’s what makes it unequal.

Additionally North, Adelaide, Dogs and the Dockers have to deal with with facing sides that have already had a proper meaningful match. Those four sides haven’t.

We have zero evidence to suggest which one is more advantageous (if any).

Just vibes.

Which is fine.

But who knows, maybe North will beat GWS, and Freo will beat Brisbane and everyone will all go the other way and say it was unfair on the round 0ers.

(lol @ the idea of North beating GWS

If you ask a club what they prefer there is no question they will prefer two byes throughout the season. That’s an unarguable fact.

Pretty obvious the other club’s are making more noise about the continual advantages given to Sydney/GWS/Brisbane/GC…under the guise of it being ‘good for the game’.

Something has to give eventually.

Essendon vs Hawks should’ve been played Sunday at the G at the very least.

Would’ve been a guaranteed 85,000 crowd.

Not possible, they were still vacuuming up the glitter from the Taylor Swift concert

Big advantage to Fremantle not having to play last week.
